another tongue

God says,

“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”

Isaiah 28:11,12

And then Peter proclaims,

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:  For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.  But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:”

Acts 2:14-17

I feel to speak today about the way that we receive revelation. Many times God speaks and foretells of momentous events. However, even though our Father plainly states what He intends to do we do not fully comprehend His words.  I ask you, “Why does God speak to us in another tongue?”

No one expected another tongue to be like this!

For instance, when God said He would speak to His people with stammering lips and another tongue, who among all of Israel understood His prophesy?  Many did not, because when the day of Pentecost came and God fulfilled His promise, people thought they were drunk.  Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost had to tell them, by revelation what was really happening before their eyes and in their ears.

Often, Spirit filled people point to speaking in another tongue as being the sign of the infilling of the Holy Spirit.  Believers speak in another tongue when God fills them, but why did God use this particular sign?

What we lost through unbelief, we regain through faith

Mankind lost the indwelling of the Holy Spirit when Adam ate of the forbidden fruit.  Adam ingested the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and His eyes opened.  When Adam knew good and evil the Holy Spirit left Him and the first man began to live by reason instead of revelation.  When the son of God rejected His Fathers headship, God banished both Adam and his wife Eve from the Garden of Eden.

What the sign of speaking in another tongue signifies is a restoration to Eden. God restores through faith what we lost through sin: namely His presence.  Another tongue testifies that we are now citizens of a new paradise: The New Heavens and New Earth. We are born from above and therefore, like all foreigners, we speak another tongue.

We are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise

Through the infilling of the Holy Spirit (which is just God in us) we operate by the laws of a New Creation.  This is why God says that our sons and our daughters shall prophesy, and our young men shall see visions, and old men shall dream dreams.  Believers experience, immediately upon being filled with the Holy Spirit, as foretaste of what life is like on the world to come.  We speak another tongue here because that is the language of heaven where we come from. It is the earnest of being born again

As usual, what God does is much more expansive that we ever imagined.  Everything that God says it absolutely true but until God reveals His plan and methods to us, we have trouble understanding what He really means.

We prophesy of God’s love, but do we really understand what we say?

Likewise, many prophesy about an outpouring of God’s love upon His people.  However, like the gift of the Holy Spirit, hardly anyone understands what that really means.

God’s love is God’s nature.  God fills us with His love and we become one with Him.  Our Father walks the earth in us and we manifest His glory.  This is what Jesus did when he healed all that came to Him; Christ manifested his Father’s glory.

YHWH is about to “reset” the human race

The manifestation of God’s glory through us will “reset” the human race back to the sinless perfection of Eden.  We will, through God’s Spirit infilling us, walk like Jesus did. Through the life of Christ, which is the Spirit of God, we are Emanuel 2.0.

Just as no one expected God’s prophesy about speaking in another tongue to be fulfilled as it was on the day of Pentecost, no one understands fully what the infilling of God’s Divine Love will be like either.  Essentially, my writings are saying “this is that” when I speak about spiritual connections.  I am showing you, by God’s revelation, what the complete infilling of the Holy Spirit really means.  I do this so that people may seek this experience and to prepare them for the acceptable day of the Lord.

The Devil sets us up to reject

Our adversary has worked overtime over the last 2000 years to distort and pervert our concept of who God is and what God will do.  Many of the precepts of the church, some of which are doctrines of demons, are in fact satanic fortifications against what God is about to do.  Our concepts of purity and intimacy are, in many instances, diametrically opposed to God’s love.  Thus, when God comes, most of the leadership of God’s people will again miss the time of their visitation.  However, the common people will hear us gladly.

Our lives lived through revelation

What God is about to do is beyond natural minded religion.  In fact, God’s love will destroy the church as it now stands.  This is the last and greatest reformation of God’s people.  Our Father, through His love, invites us back to the Garden.  When we come back into communion through revelation with our Creator, we will live once again like we did before Adam sinned.  Our lives will conform to God’s will through revelation.  In rejecting the tree of good and evil God will grant us access, once again, to the tree of life.

In conclusion, I cannot overstate how much of a shock this move of the Spirit is going to give to our natural minded thinking. Awakened saints will either jettison or severely modified most of their doctrine.  God will, in effect, puts us to the test by revealing the truth of His Spirit to us saying, “will you also go away?”

Who do you say I AM?

Finally, God says,

”  Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, ‘This is an hard saying; who can hear it?’ “

John 6:60

And,

“From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.”

John 6:66

Lord, to whom shall we go?

Peter replies,

“Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.”

John 6:68,69

The great apostasy takes place, in large part, through a rejection of the revelation of God.  We now understand that Jesus spoke about holy communion, but back then God spoke through His son without qualification.  Likewise, the revelation of God’s Divine Love He is bringing to His people will cause many to turn back and follow Him no more. This is the separation that is coming. Amen.
