Ears To Hear
“And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land; The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles: Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.”
The ability to understand God comes not from our native intellect but rather from the Lord Himself. Understanding is given to our hearts from our Father and without this divine light our natural man can never truly see.
When any move of the Holy Spirit exhibits unusual manifestations there are always those who decry and disparage the whole move based upon the parts they don’t agree with. These people, for one reason or another, seek to draw attention to what they have judged to be excessive and un-biblical. Moreover, they seek to ridicule and berate all those who speak positively of the good that is happening during the move of God’s Spirit.
It is important for Tabernacle Christians to understand that those who stand against the Spirit of God simply cannot see or hear what the Holy Ghost is saying because their hearts cannot receive Him. Therefore, nothing that is said in favor of the moving of His Spirit will penetrate their understanding. Many confidently asserted that none can “prove” that the way in which God manifests Himself is biblical as if it cannot be done. This is just a form of Christian agnosticism. Yet when one comes to them and actually does “prove” that these experiences are the natural outflow of Divine Love resulting from the restoration of the spiritual Feast of Tabernacles they simply will not and therefore cannot hear it.
Note the type of spirit that manifests itself through those who oppose what the Spirit doing. While some may honestly disagreed in a civil and respectful manor many devolve into ravenous wolfs that loose all semblance of Christian character. We understand that what we testify of only approximates the truth and that as God reveals more our understanding of the Tabernacle experience will come into greater focus. It is not necessary, though, to have all the theology in place to accept or experience what God is doing. This is how it usually goes with any restoration of a fundamental truth. Those who seek to present what God is doing are usually bitterly opposed, then ridiculed and dismissed, but ultimately viewed as pioneers of the faith.
As Tabernacle Christians, I caution you to not give those who stand against what God is showing you too much credence. Due to a lack of willingness to humble themselves and yield to His Holy Spirit their minds are darkened and they simply cannot perceive what is obvious to those who see and feel the warmth of the Son light.
There is a new dawn coming and it is a glorious day that we will awake to. The outpouring of God’s Spirit upon those with ears to hear will be simply marvelous. There is a vast sea of people who hunger and thirst after the things of God and once they taste the freedom that God has for them they will gladly hear what He has to say.
There is little that we can do for those who have rejected and will reject the moving of God’s Spirit. Though we might desire to help them see the light we cannot make them see the light. Why is this so? It is because in order to see God they must open their blind hearts and even God cannot do this if they are not willing.
God did amazing things in the past and God is about to do amazing things again. There is a new generation that has grown up in the wilderness and they are eager to cross over Jordan this time. While we mourn for those who have and are bleaching their bones in the spiritual wilderness of this world we must look forward to the blessings and challenges that lay before us. God is with us and goes before us and all we need do is follow after Him this by faith.
My writings on this website are a rough sketch of Tabernacles Theology. They are an apologetic for the Divine Love that people are about to experience when the spiritual fulfillment of this final feast is realized. These posts lay out the framework for a new and expanded understanding of God’s word that is supple enough to contain the restoration of this divine experience. Take heart as you read through them and consider the precepts contained therein. Prove all things and hold fast that which you find good. Above all have confidence in what the Holy Spirit leads and guides you to do for only in this way will you ever reach the restoration of this wonderful feast.
