Some people act on principle…
Some people act on knowledge….
Some people act in their best interest….
Some people act out of fear…
However, here is a truth,
“Mankind, all mankind, was originally meant to act only through revelation.”
This means, that we were made in the image and likeness of God so that we could reveal His nature to each other and to the world. Essentially, as His sons and Daughters, as God was to all He created we were to be to this Earth.
God is love. Therefore we are to be love.
God does not lie. Therefore we are not to lie.
God is merciful. Therefore we are to be merciful.
In fact, whatever the nature of God is we are to be to each other and to the world.
Tabernacles theology is meant to help us open up to the revelation that we are all to become “one” with God as Christ was one with his Father.
It is written,
“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:”
In fact, becoming one with God is mostly what Jesus is talking about in the whole of John chapter 17.
That “They” may be one. So, Jesus is speaking about his disciples becoming in the same way that he is one with His father. This is a very important revelation. We are to understand that it is the with of Jesus that we become one with each other. So, oneness with each is so important the Jesus said,
“Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;eave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.”
Matthew 5:23, 24
As I have said in my writings, we have entered into the time of “Strong Delusion.” Conversely, though, we have also entered the time of “Strong Revelation.” The way that we have learned the scriptures through our natural minds and efforts will no longer suffice in this present day because the influences of the devil, in preparation for his man of sin, are becoming too strong.
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
In a time of great spiritual testing we must learn to hear the voice of our Father and decide to live by every word the proceeds out of the mouth of our God no mater what circumstances we are in. This is not just the scriptures but also “Rhema”…the living breath of God that gave us life so long ago and continues to breath life into us today. We must step back into our pre-fallen state of total communion with our Father through growing into the image and likeness of His son, Jesus Christ.
In reality, I use a lot of biblical language only because of some peoples unbelief. I used to not do that. Unfortunately, unless you couch what you say in “scripture” some find it hard to believe. However, know this, what I write is “part” of the current word of God to this generation and very soon God will expect us to hear His voice without sounding like one of the apostles of old. The common people heard Jesus gladly because he spoke in their common language. Jesus did not speak as the Pharisees spoke because the common people had ceased to listen to them. Therefore, those who count themselves learned in the scriptures are going to be faced with a choice of whether to listen to the revelation of God simply because they know it is His voice or whether they will reject the Spirit of God because it does not sound like King James prose.
Lastly, humility is very important. Our Father resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Here is a truth,
“Pride is the basis of Strong Delusion, therefore, humility is the basis of Strong Revelation.”
Some people become deeply offended when you tell them the truth because it exposes their lack of God. Due to pride, they cannot handle the idea that someone may be farther along in the process of becoming one with God than they are or have blessings from God than they do not possess. I would point out that this is not a competition but rather a journey that we must all individually make back to the garden. There will always be someone further along that path that we are. However, instead of being offended that we may lack some gift or experience that another has, why don’t we simply accept their hand of fellowship and allow them to help us up the mountain of God? There is no shame in receiving a free gift from our heavenly Father and everyone that already has their gift is happy to help.
How can I apply this teaching to my life?
If you have never experienced the “sign” of being filled with the Holy Spirit then I encourage you to seek that blessing. When you ask for God to fill you with His Spirit He will give you the sign of speaking in another language that you never learned. Most of the time that language is a tongue of angels but sometimes it is a know tongue.
Don’t be afraid to do it, just simply ask God to fill you. When you feel a force trying to more your tongue simply open your mouth and let the sounds come out. That is the Holy Spirit trying to speak through you. It can be dramatic or it can be so incredibly easy that you think you are making it up. In any case, just do so by faith and yield the the Holy Spirit as He gives you the utterance.
If you have been taught against the Pentecostal experience let me offer these thoughts.
The point is, seek the free gift of God first and do not resist the blessing of your Father. Remember,. Jesus went away so you could have it: it was that important.
I could go through all the scriptures and “prove” to you that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by speaking in other tongues but but if you have set your mind against it you may remain unconvinced still. This is not because the scriptures are in doubt on this subject but that some believe, in their pride, that they are above such “emotionalism.” They believe they can walk straight without all that speaking in tongues nonsense. I reality, when you are honest with yourself, are you really opposed to the gift of the Spirit based on reason or based upon the emotion of not wanting admit that you lack something that others have.
The truth is, that we need to train our spirits to lead our minds and merely accept whatever God has for us simply because we hear His voice. We need become like little children who accept, with eagerness and enthusiasm, anything our Father wants to give up because we always no He gives us good things.
Otherwise, we run the risk of falling in with this lot,
“Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.”
We shouldn’t fight against the things of our Father because we can ill afford to be without everything that we need at this late hour. The Holy Spirit is the oil that will allow us to be ready to light our way to our bridegroom at the midnight hour. We need to do literally everything within our power to buy as much of it as possible while it is yet day.
The question so often asked is “does everyone have to speak in other tongues,” when the question should be, “can you please teach me how to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and speak in other tongues?”
