remembering

Continuing on…

As Michael typed, he remembered that day, nearly four years ago now, when he drove south into a Montana valley in search of something. He knew he had been led by the Spirit, yet not finding what he was looking for nagged at him, pulling at his mind and heart.

Remembering, Michael writes,

“Living by revelation is absolutely necessary because if we are questioning God at every turn in the road, we will always be hesitant to travel it. Living in uncertainty prevents us from moving at the speed of faith. I see Spirit led saints constantly living in fear of error. It is almost like uncertain people are always struggling to believe and never resting in the revelation God gives.”

As he reflected on that day, he wondered if he had missed it? He continued writing:

“Really, my friend, it does not make any difference if you are totally right or wrong, because we are all so far from being right that it makes no sense to worry about it. Trust His voice.  YHWH will correct us if He needs to.  If your Lord is not pointing out something specifically wrong, then let’s start living in the Spirit. From the day that we said yes to Jesus Christ, we all left the realm of the reasonable and stepped into the world of supernatural faith.”

Ripples in the pond

The truth is, he thought, he had stepped into the world of supernatural faith long ago, and no longer worried about “missing it”.  Michael knew His Father’s voice and trusted Him implicitly, even if he did not understand it.  Yet, a certain restlessness remained in him like ripples on the pond of his soul, fanning out, searching to touch someone he knew he needed…

Taking a deep breath, he let himself relax as the Holy Spirit continued speaking:

“I don’t have to tell you that God wants to love you, you already know this in your bones.  I can speak to you about the intimate things of His Spirit and your belly jumps for joy.  Talking about time and space in terms of what actually happens in the Spirit doesn’t faze you because you instinctively know its true.  In short, your spirit recognizes my spirit.

Yes, that was it…

Spirit recognizes spirit and this is what brings about the UNITY of the Spirit.  Moreover, Spirit recognizes spirit, because God wants to do something between us.  So many times I feel things in the Spirit towards people, yet they draw back and do not allow God to manifest through them. This is a big problem because we need to connect and become one with each other to the extent that YHWH desires, else we fail to accomplish His will.”

Spirit Recognizes Spirit

Seemingly drifting beyond space and time, seven months later, I read from the final feast these words spoken to me through the Spirit of God:

Talking about time and space in terms of what actually happens in the Spirit doesn’t faze you because you instinctively know its true.  In short, your spirit recognizes my spirit. Spirit recognizes spirit and this is what brings about the UNITY of the Spirit.  Moreover, spirit recognizes spirit, because God wants to do something between us.”

My spirit leapt!  Yes! I DO recognize your spirit! I DO instinctively know what you are saying is true! Then I thought, what does he mean, “God wants to do something between us?”  Those words literally jumped off my computer screen into my spirit.  My spirit knew, and somehow my mind, that they were written specifically for me. He spoke these words also:

We need to connect and become one with each other to the extent that YHWH desires, else we fail to accomplish His will.”

The dawn comes

What was YHWH’s will? How were we failing to accomplish it? What did this writer mean? Because the words, I knew by God’s Spirit, were written directly for me. Dare I reply? … I did, but pulled back from what I really wanted to say:  “This was really helpful to me – I have been on a journey with God of learning to hear His voice daily – and living by Revelation. . . .and my spirit agrees with your spirit in this article and it is great confirmation.”

It had been a long way home, one of difficulty and pain and oftentimes despair, but also filled with promise after promise after promise. God constantly confirmed what He led me into so that I knew I was in His will. My Father’s voice gave me confidence that He would deliver me into all that He had called me to do and all that He promised to be.
