Whats your thoughts on technology and how Satan uses it to distract us.
Dear Mike,
Thanks for your question. I appreciate it.
Like all tools, one may say that technology is neither good, nor bad – it is merely how you use is and what the intent is behind the use. However, technology does stem from the knowledge of good and evil and thus focuses us upon our natural minds due the exclusive use of the scientific method. Knowledge of good kills us just as efficiently and the knowledge of evil.
In my opinion, like all things pertaining to God, the use of technology depends on how our Lord leads us and what He desires for us to do with it. For instance, I use technology to both write and distribute the revelations the Holy Spirit shows me. While I do use technology in doing so, I try as much as I am able only to write what I hear Him say to me. If I write something out, but then do not feel God’s anointing in it, I delete t assuming that it may only be my natural minds thoughts.
Can technology to a trap? Certainly. I believe that the internet is tantamount to a false Holy Spirit. People tend to ask Siri to answer their questions rather than ask and believe the Holy Spirit these days.
Paul states,
“All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.”
1 Corinthians 10: 23
When we are led by God’s Spirit, we are free to use whatever we have in our hand to accomplish His will as He directs us – even if it is the jawbone of the ass – or the internet. If we are willing to hear His voice and do what He says when He says to do it, the tool we pick up is not evil or good, it is just a tool to accomplish our Father’s will. If it is unsuitable or even dangerous, our Father will warn us.
I hope that clarifies this issue a little for you.
Big hugs and lots of love,
Blessings,
Michael
