Are You In God’s Domain?

A domain, for this essay’s purposes, is defined as:

A “sphere of activity, influence, or knowledge.”

Therefore, God’s domain is whatever His sphere of activity, influence, or knowledge is.

Many Christians constantly seek confirmation of God’s will in their lives, even asking for such reassurance many times each day. In fact, some become so careful it becomes a type of paralysis keeping them from doing His will at all.

Today, I am going to share with you an emerging truth about the “Domain of God”. The fact is, when you operate within His domain, you don’t have to worry about doing right all the time. Practically anything you feel to do is God’s will, because you are “in” His sphere of activity, influence, or knowledge.

Jesus didn’t ask for confirmation all the time

Jesus didn’t go around always asking for confirmation of His Father’s will. Though He spent much time in prayer, in the main, he just lived every moment by what the Spirit of God in him felt like doing. This freed him up to be Spirit-led all the time, releasing him from having to wonder if he was doing his Father’s will.

When you live in our Father’s domain, i.e. walking in the Spirit, you tend naturally do His will. Our tendency in that place is to not fulfill the lusts of our lower nature. Conversely, if you are not in God’s domain, i.e. unsaved or in rebellion, everything you do tends towards sin.

Moving at the speed of God

In the coming move of God, we move so quickly, we don’t question whether or not it’s His perfect will. Furthermore, when we do it, we follow his Spirit instantly without checking our natural minded reason.

When the Holy Spirit begins to blow upon His people, we will all move like this. The world cannot see what moves us, but we instantly react to God as leaves in a strong wind. We move at the speed of God, allowing Him to move unhindered.

I know, by the Spirit, that I am writing even beyond the current revelation I have on this subject. The practical application of this truth is going to be far more unbelievable than I can describe. What God is about to do will shake and challenge our preconceptions of what is proper and permissible in Him.

We tend to slow things up

Trying to understand God with our minds often times prevents us from moving at the speed His Spirit needs. Our natural minds are slow and cumbersome to the Holy Spirit. Having to find a chapter and verse to do God’s will doesn’t make His will any more sure or real. In fact, nothing we do requires any scriptural backing as long as we are listening to His voice. It is only those who doubt who constantly check to see if they are doing right.

This is a fundamental truth that underlies and supports much of the revelation that I share. It is like Jesus saying,

“Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

Matthew 22:36-40

Fulfill the law through following His Spirit

Furthermore, it is like Paul saying,

“For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”

Romans 13:9,10

Likewise, Paul says,

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

Galatians 5:16

These precepts are fundamental to everything God says, they encapsulate His eternal truths, and are foundational.

The revelation of “God’s domain” is a foundational truth

God’s domain is like unto these, it is a foundational understanding. Being with God, allowing Him to flow through us, makes it unnecessary to check everything with him. We simply be “In Him,” walking and talking as we feel led by His Spirit.

In conclusion, let us no more be fearful children, but let us be bold in His Spirit. Know that we have the grace of God at our disposal to do anything He asks. Let our Father live His life through us, moment by moment, not caring what others think. Listen, hear, and obey His voice on time at every given moment. I challenge you to live at the speed of God. Amen.

In Him we live and move and have our being, according to the Bible. That “being” is what Jesus prayed for in the book of John: that we would be one, and He would be in us and God would be in Him. Together, as a symbiotic unit, we walk with God in His domain, moving as He moves, and going where He goes. Listen as we discuss this “radical” idea of how to live in God’s domain.
