Jesus says,
“…then sent Jesus two disciples, Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.”
Matthew 21:1-3
Jesus told the disciples to go and get a donkey for him. God incarnate did not send money with them, nor even tell them to go ask permission to borrow a couple of donkeys, He simply told them where to find them. Moreover, Christ said if any man resisted them, say, “The Lord hath need of them”.
Furthermore God says,
“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. “
Psalm 24:1
And Paul says,
” For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. “
1 Corinthians 16:29
Your Lord has need of you
When God has need of you, it’s more important than whatever you are currently doing. The donkey didn’t know or understand what was happening, he simply followed. When the Lord has need of you, simply say yes and trust the Judge of the Whole Earth to do right. Simply leave what you are doing when Jesus says, “come, follow me”, and obey right away.
Good word – and it takes so much faith in Him to hear Him say, “I have need of you – elsewhere” – and go with abandon. . .how I think His heart breaks when we don’t, and how would His kingdom be changed if we all obeyed Him like that? Most of us are so far from the obedience He wants us to have, and its a painful process to get where we need to be. . .
Thanks for sharing!
Dear CL,
I pray God give us the heart and faith to remain faithful and fullfill His calling in these end times.
Big hugs and God bless,
Michael
