Lose Yourself in your God
I think it is telling that we have fallen so far from God that when I speak about things which should be common knowledge, I sound like a mystic. Nevertheless, Spiritual things reveal themselves by the Spirit. Therefore, I am just going to speak revelation and leave the rest to God.
In the beginning, we were one. God manifested through Adam’s flesh to this creation. There was no separation of body, soul, and spirit. We were one as God is one and therefore one in Him.
Father, that we may become one
Jesus speaks a prayer, in John chapter 17, asking that believers be restored to our pre-fallen, sinless state of Eden. It is the reuniting, reintegration of God and man into one manifestation of our Father on this earth. Thy kingdom comes as His will be done, by revelation, on Earth as it is in heaven. Jesus is the head and we are his body and together we shall be one with God for all eternity. We are about to become the manifestation of the sons of God. Created a little lower than the angels, God crowns us in Jesus, with glory. We sing a new song of joy and triumph in the New Heavens and New Earth. The former things pass away as we sit on the right hand of our Heavenly Father. Death is no more as the glory of God shines through us.
A broken people
Sin shatters. Sin destroys. A split with God happened the moment that Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Revelation left and natural reasoning took over. That rift between God and man left us void of Spirit. The Holy Spirit, given at the day of Pentecost, began to restore oneness through revelation.
It is written,
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
Revelation 21:5
Even we are to be restored,
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
God renews our minds. YHWH glorifies our bodies. Our Father gives newness of life. Wolves lay with lambs. Children play next to asps without peril. The glory which was once ours at the beginning is restored to us at the end.
To him that overcometh
God and man unite once again through the glorious miracle of oneness. The promise of this is the restoration of the tree of life which God gives us freely in the New Jerusalem. The Bride of Christ becomes one with Christ in holy consummation. A oneness so perfect, so profound, so fulfilling, that God joins with His bride for all eternity in joy unspeakable.
This is such an important truth that our Father embedded this message of oneness within creation. All living things procreate. Male and female unite to create new life. That life, though created by two, becomes one flesh.
Let God move you
How do you, as an individual, become one with God? Very simply, you start to listen for God’s voice, hear what He says, and do what He leads you to do when He says to do it. When you do this you begin to live by revelation as Adam did in Eden. You live as Jesus did and fulfill the law by walking in the Spirit. Walking in the Spirit is living by revelation. Your actions are not your own as they become the actions of God manifest in your flesh.
Moreover, letting God reveal Himself in you only requires obedience to His voice. You don’t have to be wealthy, handsome or beautiful, famous, young, educated, or have any type of social position. All you need do is say “yes” to God and do what He says when He says to do it. God’s Holy Spirit is the ultimate equalizer of all men and women. We cease from our own works when we listen, hear, and obey on time.
Oneness with God
In conclusion, embrace oneness with Jesus and our Father. Drink in the revelation that He gives you as you hear His voice and live by every word that proceeds out of His mouth daily. You cannot be Spirit-led by your natural mind so reject the knowledge of good for the revelation of your Father. Amen.
