I Have Loosed The Lock Upon Thy Door
God In Us, The Hope Of Glory
God says,
“I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night. I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them?”
Song of Solomon 5:2,3
God knocks and waits outside our door. In fact, He lingers so long that His locks fill with the morning dew. Yet, we comfortably lay in bed, imagining His embrace when He is nigh, even at our door.
God desires us
God wants to be in us. In fact, His desire is so strong, He waits all night at the door of our hearts hoping we will respond. It is a time of love and though we feel drawn by His Spirit, we dream rather than actually embrace Him.
God made man a living soul through breathing His very breath into Adam’s body. Creation is intimate. From the day the first man opened his eyes, God was within him. This is God’s original intent for all those who follow after Adam’s kind. We are created to be God’s temple and He desires to dwell in us, but sin caused the Holy Spirit to depart from the first man. Almost 4000 years later, God returns in a mighty, rushing wind to fill Adam’s descendants at Pentecost.
God is as sensuous as He is holy. All those who desire to become the Bride of Christ realize this fact and embrace this aspect of God as they become one with Him. Just as every woman desires to open up to her lover, mankind longs to be filled with God. YHWH creates us to be one with Him.
Every woman hopes to be with her lover
The concept that stumbles natural-minded people is that God becomes one with His Bride by manifesting His affection through the members of His body. A Holy Kiss is God literally kissing us through another saint. Our Lord, who is Spirit, touches us when He puts a hand on our shoulder or hugs us through another believer.
To many, physical intimacy of any sort is suspect. Due to rampant sin, Satan pre-conditions us to reject anything that looks remotely like it. However, the closeness between members of the Body of Christ, as led by the Holy Spirit, is the “holy original” which the devil corrupts.
God’s Love desires expression
The Bride of Christ is on fire with passion for God. Divine Love is pure and right in God’s sight. Jesus opens a door for us that no man can shut. As led by the Holy Spirit, the spiritual marriage bed is undefiled. Spirit-led people do no more and no less than the Holy Spirit leads them to do. Spirituality is not the absence of sensuality, spirituality is embracing of all that God is, including sensuality. Fear of emotion and familiarity is the opposite of what the Bride of Christ is. Satan causes us to doubt our intimate nature by making us fear what God made perfect and good. The father of lies seeks to cause us to reject God’s Divine Love in these latter days. Rejecting God’s love automatically sets us on a path to follow the Beast.
Jesus is coming back for Israel at the end of the Millennium, not at the beginning. Many gentile Christians do not understand that Jesus is a Jewish Messiah. Moreover, in the church age, the kingdom of God is within the hearts of men. There is no physical kingdom in the church age, therefore when Jesus comes to us it is not a physical return. During our time, the Son of Man manifests within us as He did on the day of Pentecost and thereafter. The Spirit of Christ walks this world again in each one of us through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. God is in us finishing the work Christ began.
Open your door
In conclusion, we are the Bride of Christ and, as such, God creates us as His lover. Intimacy is the point of relationship with our heavenly Husband. Consummation is the expectation of all those who fall in love with Jesus. Our calling is to open our doors, embracing God fully, allowing Him to fill us completely until we are one.

Dear Connections,
Sometimes you wake up feeling refreshed. The stillness of the first moments feel comfortable and secure. When love is lying beside you everything seems right. This is an earthly picture of a heavenly place of rest. Saints, Heaven is not the absence of intimacy, it is a fundamental fact of it. God created us because He desires this type of oneness with all of us.
In our journey, Esther and I are coming to know God in ways we never thought possible. As we cut loose of our own reasonings, embracing God’s Spirit, we begin to see what was waiting for us all along.
Intimacy with God is the most thrilling experience one can have. What we term supernatural is simply the standard of heaven. Living in the Great Dip, most never dream of the things that God has made for them that love Him. Western Christianity’s Victorian viewpoint on all things intimate clouds our minds until we cannot love God through each other properly.
The marriage bed is an exploration of intimacy. Newly joined mates explore each other’s bodies as they come to “know” each another. Likewise, when you join with God we explore His body too. There is that first holy kiss. Then, as led by His Spirit, we come to know Him in ways and to depths we never thought possible.
Intimacy with God is a vast as He is. Consummation with a joined mate is just one aspect of loving God through His body of believers. God ministers to us in every way imaginable through each other if we decide to trust Him. There is emotional intimacy, vulnerablity, healing, sympathy, etc. etc. When we are open and transparent to each other, God flows freely in whatever way needed.
In reality, mating should never be done unless God leads you to commit for life. In that special instance, when the level of Divine Love demands commensurate expression, you must join as God leads. Sex is to be an expression of love. Only profound love, Divine love, that never leaves or forsakes another warrents sex. Without such love, intercourse is either fonication of adultery, weather or not you are legally married.
Natural minded people imagine all sorts of bad situations when someone says such things. Many assume that there is lust under every bed just waiting to jump out and make people sin. To their minds practically everything is a prelude to sex and the only way you can really protect people from sin is to be a nun. The problem with acting like something you are not is that the sin which leads leads to bad behavior is still there, crouching at your door. There is an enormous amount of lust in church people, however, they simply learn to conceal it better than most. Given the chance, and perceived anonymity, all hell breaks loose.
You must walk in the Spirit in order not to fulfill the lusts of your lower natures. When there is no lust there is no sin. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about being lustful no matter what God leads you to do if you are lead by His Spirit. Conversely, don’t do any form of intimacy with the Body of Christ unless you are lead by God’s Spirit to do so. Don’t kiss, hug, hold, or even marry without God’s leading. If you do not know for sure, then don’t do anything. To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are impure, everything is tainted.
Sincerely,
Michael
