Will Someone Please Turn On The Lights?
Ouch! Just bumped into another spiritual truth! It is so dark in this place that I can hardly see anything. I know generally where things are, but I am black and blue from finding them. It would be nice if someone would turn on the light so that I could truly see.
The Need for Revelation
Unfortunately, relative to true revelation, that is where many of us are right now (including me.) We see through a glass darkly and prophesy in part. Even the best among us are bumbling around in partial darkness, not because we cannot see, but because we lack illumination from God to see. As one of my good friends pointed out, it is not like we have “no’ light. It is just that, to varying degrees, the dimmer switch is turned down and, compared to what is available, our light is pretty faint.
The truth is, everything makes sense when God turns on the light fully. When we are still in partial darkness, with so much confusion, it may not seem like that is possible. However, consider Jesus as a child,
“ And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.”
Luke 2: 46,47
We fail to understand the basics
Why were all that heard Jesus astonished? Why were these “doctors” of the law so amazed? Again Jesus said,
“Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?”
John 3:9,10
The answer as to why Jesus knew so much more than the greatest minds of His generation is because of walking in the light. That light gave Jesus revelation and thus understanding in the scriptures that no man on Earth possessed. The mind of God was the mind of Christ because he became one with His father. Obviously, because God wrote the book, if you have the mind of God then you know what He said and meant.
You have no need that any man teach you
God says,
“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.:
1 John 2: 27
I have come to believe that what we are lacking is only the Spirit of God and not further teaching. We do not understand the things of God simply because our understanding requires spiritual illumination. When the dimmer switch is on low, it does not matter if your eye sight is 20/20 because you cannot see without enough light. However, turn that dimmer switch on to full and even a person with 20/200 sight can get around quite easily.
Here is a truth,
“In order to see God’s truth we must have God’s light.”
How does one get the light of God? Jesus says,,
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
John 8:12
Therefore, it is in the act of following after Jesus’s pattern that we receive light. It is in the act of picking up our cross and following him that the path before us become brilliantly lit. It is through obedience to our heavenly Father that we walk in the light of life. Here is a truth,
“All light, in whatever form, is a reflection of God’s glory.”
This means that we must listen to what the Holy Spirit says every hour of everyday. It means constant communion with Jesus and His Father. God still speaks today if we will just have ears to hear what His Spirit is saying to this generation.
Will someone please turn on the lights?
So we come to the gifts of the Spirit. My friends, the gifts that God has given you were never meant to be hidden and left unused. They are given for a the common good. When our gifts are hidden we lack the necessary means to prosper in and overcome this world. Our gifts are meant to work in unison together so that the body of Christ can be built up in their most holy faith. So many of us needlessly suffer because we are disconnected and thus ineffectual.
The bottom line is that we must join with one another. We must lay down our lives for Christ and come together as one in Him. We cannot afford to be separated any longer and go about our lives as if we were independent islands. This may sound like a hyperbole but here is a present truth,
“Unite under God or perish under Satan.“
We have the internet, we have cell phones, we have cars, and we can even fly across the sky on planes. Those who hear the Spirit need to take whatever actions are necessary to connect with one another. We must lay down our hurts and our pet doctrines and simply allow His Holy Spirit to flow between us in strong revelation so that together we might have the mind of Christ. Take your position in the Body of Christ and each do your part to support the whole. Liberate yourselves so that we might avoid being bound by darkness.
We have entered the time of strong delusion
There is a general darkness that is falling upon the world. Everyone who is spiritually aware feels it. It is a supernatural darkness that is blinding those of this generation who have refused to see the light of the son of God. At this time we must come together and share our lives so that the light we carry within each us (the Holy Spirit) can bind us together.
As I have said before, we are further into strong delusion that anyone really understands. It is here, it is all around us, and no one can withstand this demonic darkness alone.
A word to the wise is sufficient.

How can I apply this teaching to my life?
It is time to dedicate all to God. It is time to cast off the chains that bind you and emerge from your cocoon to become what God made you to be. Freedom! Be a manifestation of God on this Earth to a lost and dying generation and call them come and give their lives to the Son of God. No longer are you going to allow the Devil to oppress you by being alone. No longer are you going to allow the Devil to hold you down and beat you into submission to his ungodly will! It is time to break every chain. Rise up and join the army of God!
Watch this video and turn it up allowing God to liberate you. Make the dedications that He brings to your heart. Take action! It is time to move with God! YHWH destinies you to be part of nothing less than the man-child who deals a death-wound to the Beast! Through faith, the Body of Christ fallen Lucifer in the pit for a 1000 years! You are a warrior and a child of the Most High! God is with you! Amen!
Well said! Could their possibly be a dimmer switch or maybe a low, medium, and high? Without some degree of light we would not believe and receive the scriptures as truth. And without more light we would not walk in those truths. High might just be where you are talking from, when we walk in the spirit and hear directly from the Father.

This had me thinking of:
Romans 12:3
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
That also got me thinking about making all things new. God will make all things new and this is in the now not just after physical death. So this is what it means to be living as children of the light. This is what it means to having a crown of life, which ultimately you cast down at the feet of Jesus.
Ephesians 4:22-24
“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
I was thinking about Colossians chapter 3 the other day, this too is a good chapter in the Bible. I suppose you could link it up with Ephesians chapter 4 as to how you should be living as a child of God and being made alive in Christ. There is no division in Christ, only unity.
Verse 10 of Colossians chapter 3 says…
“and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”
So “have put on” as in already happened, already there. New self is already there, already happened. This is in the process of renewal in both the knowledge and image of our Creator. This takes me straight back to thinking about Adam and Eve, where they were made in the image of their Creator. This is the returning to innocence.
I know I am writing a lot of scripture in this post but its important. The following is one of my favourite parts of the bible, Colossians 3:12-17, because it is what I think the best witness for Christ we can be, wherever we are, in our lives today…
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
For a few months now I have been getting this word from God…
“Wake up! wake up the sleeping hearts, play the gongs and the drums of the Lord…”
Now today this same message came to me really strong, and so I sat thinking about it and it simply occurred to me…”what are the gongs and the drums of the Lord? what is it that is going to wake up the zombie hearts of the world? What will break through people’s blindness? deafness? what will change people’s tongues from using them for evil to using them for Good?”
The answer that came to me is “It’s the fire, the fire of God.” This is what will do it. The fire of the Lord through our words, our actions, our reaching out, with our Gifts we possess, with the Light, Love and Peace of God we carry around with us, each moment of every day! We, being temples of the Holy Spirit, do this even when we do not know it. Imagine the difference if we did this consciously everywhere, every moment of the day?
Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, forgiveness. Peacemakers not war makers.
True wisdom from above…
James 3:17,18
“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
And the effects of this peace is quietness and confidence forever. So be quieted and confident in your spirits, receiving the Peace of God.
Matthew 5:9
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God”
Yes be blessed, as sons and daughters of God, heirs of the kingdom of God, be at peace, no matter what the tribulation or pain, be at peace.
Now if this is the impact on those around you just as an individual, imagine the impact on the world we would make as a united front for God? The army of God, the warriors for Christ, those around the world decreeing with one vice of His Holy Spirit His Words?
This would switch on the light for the world and not just the space you occupy. Imagine a walking, moving, working world run on the light and love of God, rather than darkness, war and hate…just imagine.

I thought your perspective there chad was excellent.
We need remember I think too that no matter how dim or how bright the light is we are walking in, in any given time…the important part is that we are ALWAYS walking in the light, irrelevant to brightness. This links to hope and faith for me. Being walkers in the light, or faith walkers, this means you are always bringing the light of Christ to people, wherever you go, at some level. This is your witness as children of the light.

I really like the phrase “return to innocence.” Wow, that really encapsulates what God is doing in His people.

I was derided years ago for believing in that…returning to innocence, but this is what I have always believed, we are returning to that innocent state, renewal.
I think its awesome when you get different people’s perspectives like this, because it really does reveal a bigger picture. It is like we all have our own picture, and these many, different pictures, make up the big picture of God. It is the building of, or painting of, putting them all together. Suppose like the building blocks of life, because it is true life you are bringing to people, message of eternal life, starting from today.

I would just like to encourage you to believe in the revelation that God gives you. I have been listening to what you say and the only problem I see is that you question what God says because it seems so diametrically opposed to what others think. However, there is a very strong current of revelation running through the things you write and I can tell you that, from an apostolic point of view, you are not wrong, just ahead of the curve.
This is just another type of gift that is given to you to be of benefit to yourself and to the Body of Christ as a whole. Simply speak what God gives you and leave it at that. Don’t judge what you say by your natural mind but by the Spirit of God that lives within you. If He is fine with it then you are fine with it. Let God speak to you and through you to your brethren. We all desperately need to know and live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

I agree with you really, my confidence has been hammered over the years, however slowly but surely gaining that back. By the Grace of God go I and each and everyone of us.
Way I see it, the more you focus on God, or bring Him into things, even everyday things, the more you turn away from self and more towards God, thus less of me and more of Him. I think the more you focus on things like spiritual habits and affirmations, the more you train ‘self’ to be less of the world and more focussed on the kingdom of God.
Then the things that used to irritate you, be worldly, just wont at all. Its like forgiveness, once you have truly forgiven someone, the sting of the memory disappears.
You know I am reminded of something I said this last week about the moon chad.
I was outside looking at the moon. It as a half moon, and it had me thinking it is like us people. We are like half light half dark, reminded me of Romans 7 scripture. We can be like a moon cycle, moving from full moon to crescent, but always carrying some level of light.
What can unsettle us, make us feel unsteady is that bungy feeing in our spirits when the amount of light changes. However, knowledge you always have some light in you, keeps you going.
