As I walk through revelation, the landscape around me changes. That is, I see things differently and often times with greater clarity the further I progress. I suppose you just have be certain places in God to see things as He see them. Recently, while thinking about the role of stories in our lives, I have come to believe that stories, the ones that matter anyway, resonate with us because they help us remember who we are.
Have you ever wondered why it is necessary to basically force us in our education as children to believe we are descended, through evolution, from apes? Moreover, why is it so important for all of us to believe that our ancestors began living in caves, wearing bear skins and using stone tools? Lastly, why is it vital that we believe that modern civilization is only 5000 years old and that all that we see arose through a steady process from our hunter-gatherer days until now?
Here is a truth,
The Devil Does Not Want You To Remember Who You Are
The truth is, you are descended from Adam and Eve who were perfect people created in the image of God. The fact is, you were created a little lower than the angels, but are destined to be crowned with glory as the Bride of Christ, the wife of YHWH. In fact, no matter what anyone has ever told you, you are a child of God.
The point of all the lies of the devil is to deceive you, discourage you, and to damn you by keeping you from realizing who you are, where you came from – to keep you, at all costs, from remembering. The world that has been constructed around you is an illusion, a grand deception, with one goal: to dim the knowledge of who you really are so that you do not become what God has predestined you to be.
I write the things I do in the Final Feast and in Seraph Hunter so that you may have an opportunity to remember. While I write an approximation of the truth, according to the revelation God gives me, what it provides you with is license to free yourself and remember who you are.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are called to glory. Christ has overcome the world; therefore, in Him, you can also. You are not powerless, but given all things in Him and through Him if you will believe.
The truth is, if you will remember who you are in God, you are more than a conqueror and will win against every and all odds.
Amen.
