Eden’s Call

And Adam said…

“…This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.  And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”

Genesis 2: 23-25

There are three levels of intimacy that God created for men and women to share in Him. In the Garden of Eden, when our Father was one with us, Adam and Eve knew complete and total unity with each other and with their Creator. Physical intimacy, intimacy of their souls, and spiritual intimacy between their spirits and God’s Spirit, was completeness; a true unity between God and man.

In our present day and age, what usually passes for intimacy is merely physical attraction and sometimes leads to a deep connection of souls, but rarely achieves God’s ultimate plan of true spiritual union with each other and Him. However, it is this ultimate union of body, soul, and spirit with the Holy Spirit that leads to the perfect man of Ephesians; the Body of Christ.

God’s love brings with it a willingness to unite as another person of the opposite sex so that we become one full man in Him,

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them”

Genesis 1:27

The revelation here is that separately, Adam and Eve were not complete, but only two halves of a whole that God intended to be “a man.” Adam was missing a rib and so could not be complete without Eve. Eve was a part of a man who was missing the rest of her body and needed Adam to be whole. Only as they came together and joined again as one, could they be whole and fully manifest God in their flesh.

Therefore, if we desire to be made whole again, we must allow God to unite us with our missing part so that His glory may shine through us. In this way, our Father is revealed to His creation, and we, together with our mate, allow the Holy Spirit to be seen, speak, and move in this present world.

In this fallen creation, the intimacy that is our birthright has been hidden from us through sin. Relationships between men and women are often reduced to mere physical attraction and consummated under less than godly circumstances. Others do fall in love and connect in their souls with each other and form a strong bond that helps them stand against the world and its sinful ways. Fewer still ever merge spiritually with one another and allow God into their most personal expressions.

However, if we are to come back to the Garden, at some point we will reintegrate with each other and our God once again. We will no longer walk by sight, but rather walk by faith, living by every word He speaks to us at any given moment. This will be most evident in the way we treat each other, interacting with profound love and care born from above, a selfless, effortless, and fulfilling desire to be whatever the other person needs.

Our relationships were meant to be much different

In the beginning, if Adam and Eve had not sinned and fallen from grace, the children of Eve would have acted toward each other much differently than people on earth act toward each other now. Being filled with His Spirit, perfectly integrated with God their father, the descendants of Ish and Ishy (Adam and Eve’s original Hebrew names) would have simply flowed as they were led by the Holy Ghost. Men and women would have met the needs of each other as led by God, whether that be helping with a task, saying a kind word, giving praise, or hugging one another. In fact, literally every action and reaction of their day would have been led by heaven and infused with God. This means that from sitting together and looking at the sky all the way to mating and everything else in between, their reactions would have been God’s actions and blessed accordingly.

Total, all encompassing, Spirit-led intimacy between men and women is what allows our Father to once again manifest through man on earth as in the beginning. Our view of intimacy is so corrupted and stilted by millennia of sin that we cannot imagine what that is like. True, Spirit-led intimacy that connects with God and makes us whole is literally beyond most people’s comprehension.

The Tabernacle Blessing

However, in the coming Tabernacle Blessing, the last and most profound move of God’s Spirit in our church age, there will be a Bride who knows God’s intimacy as Adam and Eve knew Him intimately in the Garden. They will be one with Him and each other as God leads, without care or worry for what the world thinks or how the world judges. This move of the Spirit is literally what almost destroys the Antichrist System, which is being built around us as I write. The devil will have no power to deceive us when we come to know true intimacy in Christ Jesus. Animosity will evaporate, people will feel God’s love fro one another and the world will simply stop fighting. This cannot be done by the flesh, it will be the Spirit of God that descends upon those who receive Him much like the Book of Acts.

In conclusion, no one can experience such Godly intimacy without the Holy Spirit moving in and through them. Following a mere form of it will lead to disaster, as Paul mentions in the New Testament Love Feasts. All you can do is humble yourself before God, allow Him to lead and guide you into His presence, and then accept whatever He leads you to do, when He leads you to do it, and with whom he leads you to do it with. And remember, what the Holy Spirit leads you to do is Holy.
