His Spirit Lives In You
Some time ago I was in a Spirit filled church during service. I had driven all the way from southern Utah to California to hear a man speak about the next move of God. The Pastor asked everyone in the congregation to pray before the service. As I prayed in other tongues, a lady directly behind me just about doubled over each time I spoke in tongues. After service, this older sister came up to me saying that when I would speak in tongues she would feel it in her belly. She related how she had just returned from attending the Brownsville revival in Florida. I could sense the Holy Spirit in her and saw God looking back at me through her eyes.
God is more than the Bible
My writing today is more “observational” than “scriptural.” No single scripture or set of scriptures exactly lays out this teaching. However, (and this is something I am trying to clarify to those who read my writings) not everything that God does is enumerated specifically in the scriptures. In fact, many times, only through experiencing God and how He actually works in real life, do His scriptures become clear to us.
For instance, people who don’t know Jesus have a difficult time understanding what the salvation experience is…but those who have experienced Him do. Those who have never spoken in other tongues sometimes have difficulty understanding that experience…but those who speak in other tongues do. Those who have never felt the Tabernacles experience may have a difficult time understanding Divine Love…but those who have experienced God’s love in that powerful way do.
So with that in mind
Jesus says,
“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:38
Jesus speaks these words because our spirits physically reside in our bellies. Therefore, when God fills us with His Spirit, He does not fill our heads but our bellies. Though many Christians live their faith from their heads, God calls us to live our faith from our bellies. People who practice intellectual Christianity fail to allow His Holy Spirit to control their lives. Jesus said that rivers of living waters would flow from our bellies, not from our heads.
It’s all about your belly
YHWH centers procreation in our mid-drift because that’s where He located our spirits. God conceives babies in the womb through uniting not only two physical bodies, but also two spirits. Our brains are what our soul and spirit use to navigate this creation, but they do not create anything eternal: only our spirits, in conjunction the Holy Spirit, do. This is why the lady standing in back of me during prayer doubled over; it was because her spirit, located in her belly, was sensitive to the Holy Spirit in me.
The fact of the matter is that head knowledge alone does not satisfy. With all the knowledge I possess, I would rather be in His presence more than anything else. I do not despise Bible knowledge, but I do not live my Christian walk from my head, but rather from my belly. Allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me into all truth, I do not permit my head (as much as I can anyway) to prevent the Holy Spirit from doing anything through me.
Going straight for the Spirit
I want to bypass your head and know your soul and spirit. That is where God dwells and that is Who I want to meet through you. Each of us has a unique ability to reveal God in a way that no one else can. Like facets of a diamond we reflect God’s light in our own special way. The fusion of God and man is what the virgin birth is all about. That fusion happened in the womb of Mary, because that is where her spirit was. Likewise, the new creation that we are becoming is flowing from our bellies by His Spirit for that is where the life of God is.
God’s things cannot be understood by our natural man, because they are spiritually known. However, those who are led by His Spirit discern all things, knowing the deep things of our Father. Allow your spirit to grasp what I have said. Let the Holy Spirit rule over your soul and intellect so that we all might become one In Him.

I remember, as I danced in the church sanctuary, God reveled to me that He was restoring mankind back to the garden. In other words, our Father wanted us to regain our pre-fallen innocence with Him.
At the time, I had no idea of what my Lord was talking about, but it felt sooooo right. It was like stepping into heaven. Seems like I have spent the last 30 years of my life learning what God really said at that one moment of time.
An apostle once taught that God’s revelation is like a mighty wind blowing through the ages. As it approaches, you feel it strengthen. God’s truth literally expands forever. That is what I feel with that one simple revelation. It started small, but has expanded over time until it has become what this site contains.
What would have happened if I dismissed what God said because it did not fit what I believed? In retrospect, that would have been very bad and I would have missed a lot. However, at the time, it didn’t seem very important other than the thrill I felt in my Spirit. That moment, though, was the birth of Tabernacles theology. This only goes to show that it is vital that we allow our spirits to hear what His Spirit is saying.

In most of Christendom these days, there is an emphasis on doctrine. Doctrine is just systematic teaching about truths found in the Bible. On the face of it, collating, systemating, and categorizing the scriptures seems like a good idea, that is, to the natural minded person.
However, the fruit (results) of the knowledge of good is forbidden to us. Determining even the good part of knowledge for ourselves kills us just as surely as the knowledge of evil. I suppose this is something you either get by the Spirit or you don’t. I can’t use knowledge to persuade you of spiritual things. In fact, I have stopped trying. However, I can share the revelation God give and let the Holy Spirit bear witness to your spirit.
Natural minded men are the ones who systematize theology. They love to figure out the minutia of what they see as the word. To them everything must fit into a box and added to a nice, neat, easily understandable filing system they call doctrine. If something does not exist in that filing system, it simply cannot and does not exist period.
Successive generations of this kind of blind belief in the power of men’s minds to know the things of God has lead us to our present pitiful state. Reasoned men have defined God so narrowly that our faith in a supernatural God has become a little more than another man made religion. Some of the basic tenants like salvation and water baptism still survive, but our understanding of the percepts is woefully incomplete.
However, with revelation it is impossible to know the things of God because He simply tells us. It is the only way we can know the things of God. Frankly, there is no way to come back to the Garden by knowledge when eating of the forbidden fruit is what got us kicked out in the first place.
For instance, the key to understand the book of revelation is simply knowing that the little book in the hand of the Father is the Lamb’s book of life. Once you know that, they whole of Revelation unfolds. However, theologians just don’t make this connection because it doesn’t fit in their file system properly. To them, both of the references denote different things. And they never will see it until God simply gives them the truth and they take it by faith.
I do not come to the revelations contained in this website by study, God simply speaks I write them down. Like Paul, I count most all of my Bible College learning as rubbish. All doctrine did is imprison my mind and kill my spirit. When the Holy Spirit came I had to make a decision and, thank God, I made the decision to hear God’s voice only.
Mankind was only every to live by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. Our bellies, the seat of earthly creation, housed God’s Spirit. We lived by our gut and not by our head. As long as we did that, paradise was ours. The moment we decided to live by knowledge paradise was lost.
In conclusion, doctrine is dead. Dead things cannot bring life. Allow God to manifest His glory in you and accept His illumination.

The Spirit can manifest in different parts of your body, depending on what He is trying to communicate with you. Many people feel a pressure in their head or chest when they are about to receive a word of knowledge. Those with the gift of healing sometimes feel the other peoples sickness in parts of their body which correspond to the area of sickness in those that they are praying for. I don’t know why you feel the Spirit in this way, other than God usually is trying to communicate with you through the experience. What else goes on when you feel His Spirit in your legs? Perhaps, if you pay attention to what else is going on that may give you a clue as to why.

Hi Arogundade!
I have often felt a manifestation of God’s Spirit in my legs as well. In my experience, God revealed to me that those times were when a spiritual connection of mine was experiencing God’s Spirit and was “stuffing” the prompting the Spirit was giving him. He was showing this to me so I could pray for my connection.
I would encourage you, as Michael said, to discern from God what it is that He is trying to communicate with you. In my experience as well, different sensations in different parts of my body have different meanings, but these are all as defined by His Spirit, and I don’t believe they necessarily mean the same things to every person who experiences the same feeling.

Just wow. I have been a lukewarm Christian for much of my life. I am thankful Jesus never gives up on us. Recently I have felt called to commit and submit and am desperately seeking the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I kept having this thought “God is in your gut.” It is amazing to have found this website and this scripture in particular because I feel like I’m on the right path. Thank you for sharing your understanding with us!

Hi Michael. I’m searching for God. I’ve never known him yet sought him all my life. I have some areas of disbelief and I’m praying for healing on that. Most recently I feel a tightness in my stomach. A clenching that could double me over if I let it. It clenches and holds for a good 20 seconds then let’s put. Sometimes it shakes my whole core. I’m dealing with a lot of fear. I thought it was a somatic bracing response but after reading the scripture about the Holy Spirit in the stomach I’m wondering if it’s more.

God speaks to us in many different ways, and in ones that He often tailor makes for us to learn to trust Him. Manifestations of His Spirit, often require us to gradually relinquish control of different parts of our body, particularly out tongues. However, for me it is often my hands during worship. Sometimes I have felt two hands on my shoulders, guiding me to specific physical places, at other times twirling my body around during dance worship. I once met a woman, recently back from the Brownsville revival, that doubled over every time I spoke in other tongues. Like you attest, it can be a very strong reaction.
If it is not physically hurting you, then I would encourage you to allow it to happen and go to whatever place and intensity the Spirit desires. For you, it may very well be the proof of God’s existence that you have been seeking, given in a way that will make sense especially to you. The question becomes, “will you place yourself wholly in His hands, trusting Him with your body, and allow Him to show you whatever He desires. For you, this simple act of faith may be just the thing that unlocks some very profound and intimate encounters with your Lord.
When Jesus asks us to do things that seem strange, many times we fear what may happen or battle with our reason. Our minds say, “oh, this looks silly,” or,”This can’t be God, why would He do this?” Again, it comes down to pure trust in Him and accepting whatever way He desires to show Himself to you.
If you feel brave, I would take small steps and allow the manifestation to go as far as you feel comfortable. Experiment with being led by His Spirit in this way if you desire. Jesus is a gentleman and will allow you to take things at your own speed. Simply see where it goes and try to find out what God is teaching you through the experience.
