Agape love is an ideal, a goal, a destination that we only attain as Jesus lives through us. As we yield to God’s love, allowing His character to flow through us, we become love.
For some time, I’ve been aware of a larger realm of heaven which is essentially unknowable to our natural minds. It is a realm of the Spirit in which God lives and moves and has His being. Our reality is a very small subset of that infinite space.
When we reach the end of what we, through reason, can know, the only way to journey onward is through direct revelation. For many, such full reliance on the Spirit seems abhorrent, for if we do not protect by doctrinal boundaries, how can we remain safe?
However, our instance of understanding everything through the knowledge of good and evil, i.e. natural reason, before we trust God, imprisons our minds. We live in a small cell of our own understanding. Spiritual agoraphobics, many believers are afraid to even to look at what lies beyond. Living in fear we restrict ourselves to a very small corner of God’s vast creations.
The truth is that most of the things of God lay beyond our natural understanding, for they are spiritually discerned. If we rely only on our ability to comprehend the deep things of God, we can never know them. This is what prevented many Pharisees from receiving Christ as Lord. They could not see God plainly manifest in the flesh, because their natural minds could not comprehend him. It is only those who left centuries of dogma that came to know Israel’s savior personally.
In our own day, If we examine the Christian Mystic movement in England, it becomes apparent that people are trying to reach beyond what can be known naturally. They are touching on and embracing a greater reality, one that is much closer to the truth, yet not easily defined. In trusting God, they come to know Him in deeper, more profound ways. This is the beginning of the move of Tabernacles.
We are entering into a time where we are going to experience new things in God. Our encounters with Jesus, angels, and the realms of the Spirit will not be explicitly addressed in scripture. Our present doctrines will not be able to hold this new wine of His Spirit. If this is so, the question then becomes: how do we navigate this new outpouring of His Spirit?
In the past, many have relied upon scriptural guidelines, principles, and boundaries taught by their denomination. Ostensibly, these precepts helped to keep us away from sin. However, while it is proper to limit the freedom of a toddler, as the child becomes an adult they begin to know the world for themselves and make independent decisions. Likewise, those of the church must also mature and fulfill their destiny, too. Graduate from adolescence and hear and do the voice of YHWH yourself.
Therefore, to experience these expanded realms of His Spirit, we must trust Jesus explicitly. What God speaks to us is what we follow. No longer will the intervention of well meaning, but often misguided, clergy men and women suffice. In fact, in the coming days, in order to follow God you will have to disobey those who say they have the rule over you, for they do not care for the things of God.
Please bear in mind, that I am speaking about the things of God and not about flights of fancy. When we begin to move in the deeper things of God, it is vital that we don’t become prideful. This often happens to some who experience things beyond the norm. While it may seem like you are flying high in the Spirit, it only seems that way relative to the other ants around. If you believe you are something great, then you have already begun to fall. Pride blinds us all.
In conclusion, real experience in God lies mainly beyond natural understanding. In order to know the deep things of His Spirit, they must be revealed by His Spirit and accepted through our spirits. There is a lot more out there than we are able to grasp through reason, that is why we must live by revelation.
Lastly, the hallmark of any God-given revelation will be that it is Christ-centric. If it is not, then it is suspect.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. “
