The Family Of God

family

In the Bible Haman, the person on the right leaning back in the chair, plots to have Queen Esther and all the Jews killed.  Esther uncovers the plot, and exposes that treason before the king. Haman is eventually hanged on the gallows that he built to kill Esther’s guardian Mordecai.

Likewise, the Devil wants to kill the bride of Christ and all those associated with her. Fallen Lucifer wants to eliminate God’s family.  However, like Haman, Satan’s evil plans will end up being His demise. This is the greater spiritual truth that Esther’s life portrays to us.

Esther, a woman in the court of king Ahasuerus, had no real power.  She could not command any one to do anything.  However, King Ahasuerus did love Esther. Therefore, when Esther approached the King unexpectedly, a crime punishable by death, he allowed her to come forward into His presence.  It was her feminine qualities, her submission and love that won the heart of the most powerful man in the kingdom.

We are a reflection of the world to come

Everything on Earth and in the Heavens is a reflection of a greater spiritual reality.  The closer you align yourself with the Almighty the clearer the picture you represent becomes.  This is why Esther became a type of the Bride of Christ defeating the devil.  As you walk with God you naturally fall into such types and your life becomes a picture of His family in heaven.

Jesus Christ was the express image of the Father because he totally submitted to His will in all things. Therefore, when you looked at Jesus, God looked back, when Jesus spoke it was the word of God, and when Christ touched you it was the hand of the Father.  Jesus, through submission, became the greatest picture of God there ever was and will ever be.

Furthermore, Jesus loved children.  Christ was about family and loved including everyone in God’s family.  Jesus says,

“And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!  For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

Matthew 12:49,50

To me, it has always been rather odd that some of the greatest men in the scripture were polygamists. Polygamy is the type of marriage where you have more than one wife. Holy men of God, like Abraham, Jacob, King David and Solomon, are held up to as examples even having many wives. Likewise, some of the greatest women in the Bible we co-wives.  Why is this so?  What picture did God want to show us through these men and women of faith?

The spiritual lesson of polygamy

I believe that if we are willing to open our minds and hearts there is a great lesson about the nature of God and His kingdom in polygamy. If we can get past our cultural bias and ethnocentric values, perhaps we can glimpse something about our Father that will help us understand his heart and motives.

To begin with God is one.  That is to say, there are no gods beside him, before Him, or after Him. There has always been, is, and will always be only one Lord God Almighty.  Conversely, the apostle Paul speaks of a many member Body of Christ.  Literally millions of people make up the future wife of God. Solomon, who had 1000 wives, was a shadow of the real family of king in eternity. Likewise, the Bride of Christ is many, yet they all share the same heart of love and adoration towards their king.  Also, within the Bride there are many different types of relationships, but one marriage. As Solomon had three score queens, fourscore concubines, and virgins without number, many people make up they “wife” of our great King. However, everyone within the definition of wife has that special type of relationship with God.

It is a matter of the heart

I believe that at least part of what God is showing us, through polygamy, is that the Bride of Christ is made up of many different people who share they same heart towards Him.  Just like Jacob had four wives that loved and obeyed him, God has many members of Christ’s body who love and obey Him too.

Within these plural family we also see the effects of submission and un-submission on the families of the patriarchs.  When wives willing took their places as help mates they brought great joy, peace, and happiness to their husband and their families. However, when wives decided to scheme and misbehave, as some did, then all suffered. Moreover, when wives were not of the covenant of Israel, but worshipped graven images, they did irreparable harm to the kingdom as a whole.

The constant in the kingdom of heaven is perfect order through perfect submission.  In fact, the only time that order was broken, there was war in heaven.  Likewise, in the Body of Christ, as we submit to the Holy Spirit we restore peace in His kingdom.  Our joy is in submission because that allows the kingdom of heaven to be born in and through us here on Earth.

Perfect love casts out fear

God does not give us a Spirit of fear.  Fear is the basis of so much selfishness in our lives and in the church as a whole.  When you fear you mostly think about yourself and therefore become self-centered.  When we focus upon our problems we cannot do the work of the Holy Spirit.  Fear robs us of peace and takes us down a road that only ends in self-destruction.  In reality, where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. I we allow God to love through us, God liberates us because perfect love casts out fear.  Whatever God does in our lives is for the best and if we trust Him He will take care of us.

In conclusion,  God needs each one of us to show forth His glory through. No one is expendable or incidental in God’s plan.  God creates each and every soul in His image and likeness.  Each one that turns away from God is one less facet of the Almighty that we can see.  We don’t fully understand what that means, but I am certain that it is a loss beyond anything we can imagine.

God’s family is made up of many different people

Finally, when we submit we please God.  Willing submission creates order and allows us to fulfill our highest calling.  God joins the Body of Christ together in one wife who submits out of love to the one true King.  The kingdom of God that Christ spoke about is true submission to the will of God in the heart of all men. Amen.

Picture this as God conducting the Bride of Christ from all over the world and event throughout time.  God paints a picture of the church joined together in unity and love. This was the glory that was set before Christ and why He willingly endured the cross.

Episode 19: After Our Kind

Kind

Coming soon!

To begin with, God always brings forth everything after its kind. Those of the earth bring forth after their kind.  Those of heaven bring forth after their kind.

Paul says,

“ The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.  As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.  And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.”

1 Corinthians 15: 47-49

As I reflect on Esther and my shared spiritual union, it is like we are among the first of our kind.  God blessed us and says, go forth, be fruitful, and multiply. In a similar manner,  Just today, I said to Esther, at the prompting of the Holy Spirit,  “You are blessed among women.”

Born of the Spirit

stars

We are born of the Spirit of God and made in His image and likeness.  I believe that God is bringing forth spiritual unions, people sealed by His Holy Spirit of promise, for the birthing of a new kind of spiritual being.  We are no longer separated in the Spirit but we are united in love to bring forth after our kind.  God has spoken and said let those I seal bring forth, be fruitful, and multiply throughout my New Heavens and New Earth for eternity.  The union of God and man, Jesus Christ, is the firstborn of the new creation.

God is not just going to populate the new earth but intends to fill the stars of the Skies with an entirely new race of spiritual children born of His Spirit and united with Him as one.  Perfect unity with our Father and with each other functioning as the body of Christ spread across every galaxy in the universe.

Eternity in our hearts

Moreover, Eternity has always been in our hearts.  Our eyes always looked upon the heavens that seemed to beckon us. God created this Heavens and Earth as a cradle for His greatest creation.  This earth was our nursery and the perfect place for our Father to raise the Children of God.  This world was a home for God’s Bride to bear His children so that He could bring forth after His kind.   We are literally the sons of the living God!  Jesus is the fruit of the union of God and Mary. Likewise, we are the fruit of the union of God and the Bride of Christ.  We are literally being birthed after our kind. God destines His children to fill the New Heavens and New Earth with His glory flowing through them like the rivers of Eden.

We’re in heaven

Michael,

“What a wonderful world! I woke up to the song “heaven” thinking of you.

Esther,

“I think it is great you keep waking up with music, it shows you are happy.”

Michael,

“But, truthfully,  I can believe we’re in heaven.”

Esther,

“Was listening to that song this morning.”

Michael,

“I am happy,  very happy actually.  I am very proud of you dear one, and I want you to know that. Not many women have your heart before God. God chose you for me because of your love for Him.  You are amazing.  I love you very much.”

Esther,

“Thank you my love, I am proud of you too.  I love God lots no matter how I get at times with Him,  I have always loved God.  I think I always knew somewhere deep down inside He would not and did not do anything to hurt or upset me.”

Bringing forth after their kind

Michael asks Esther to read a portion of the his essay and then says,

“God is calling us to bring forth after our kind my love! I don’t understand it all, but I feel in my Spirit it is true.”

Esther,

“Yes He is, smiles.”

Michael,

“Sing to Jesus, We are His own, Now and forever, Sing for the love our God has shown.” (part of a song by Daniel Ortega Michael is listening to)
Then Michael continues,

“We are the children of God, the union of God and man, brought forth after His kind. “

Esther,

“Heaven brought to earth produces us.”

Michael,

“That is what our union is about, heaven has kissed us, become one with us, known us in a holy, eternal love.  You are blessed among women even though I don’t know what entails.

Part of the Last Adam and Eve

Esther,

“Adam and Eve born from the inner court or holy of holies, that is what the holy of holies is for I think.

water-913367_640

Michael,

“It is the seat of creation, the womb of God. It is how we are born from above.   We touched God and He touched us and as we became one. He gave life to us and it flows into and through you and I.”

Esther,

“People always seem to want to remove God from intimate times when He is central to those types of expressions I think.”

Michael continues,

“It is the focus of this creation.  The waters flowing from the threshold of the millennial temple bringing life wherever they go.”

Esther,

“Yet most Christians and denominations would condemn bringing God anywhere near such intimate areas.  That leads me to think on senses today.  How we separate earthly ones from spiritual ones, like they are not to be attached or seen with God. Yet, the physical, as a general rule, is a reflection of the spiritual.

Then I thought about things like “Taste” and see that the Lord is good or “Listen” to His voice.  I have said before how, when spiritual things are strong,  it’s almost like I smell it or you. Smell, hearing, tasting. Sounds very simple and back to basics but it is really how babies learn.”

As we become one with God and each other, we become whole again

Michael,

“I believe what may be happening is the reintegration of our body, soul, and spirit.  These three parts of us, which were fractured by sin, are becoming less and less separate.  What affects us spiritually affects us physically now days.  When we love in the Spirit we feel it in our bodies. Like you mentioned, the fragrance of the heavenly realms manifests in smells here on earth.   God creates our natural senses to be one with our spiritual senses.  It has been a lie of the devil that physical sensations are incompatible with true spiritual experiences.”

Esther,

“Yeah,  but it is not just a physical smell. It is hard to explain, but I have had that most of my life.  Like the phrase “you can smell danger,” does not make sense in the natural realm. However, I smell whether a spirit is either good or bad, just as if its spiritual odour is strong or thick.”

Michael,

“Isn’t it telling that God wrapped up so much in intimacy and the Devil wants to us to fear intimacy.”

Shame separates us from the Love of God

Esther,

“Guilt will always separate people from God which, I suppose, is why the devil does that over and over in the physical aspect of spiritual experiences. It is quite a effortless and simple foothold for him in people’s lives to discourage them. It is only natural for all to overlap if integrated properly I think. You should not be able to divide or separate theses things and they should all flow into each part of our selves like a river.

Intimacy is effectively closer than close and the Bible says to draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Also, darkness does not comprehend the light so that intimacy and closeness is going to drive it away. So it stands to reason that it is the devil’s main focal point of attack, because it is God’s ultimate hand of deliverance and unity.  Intimacy creates love which conquers all and covers a multitude of sins.”

God does not teach us to fear intimacy

fear-intimacy

Michael,

“The world teaches us to fear intimacy, except under very specific circumstances. All of our lives we are told to suspect bad motives in physical intimacy when, in actuality, God created us to embrace it. When I lay with you in the Spirit in our inner chamber, holding you, communing with you, sometimes I become aroused in the natural. It is different though, because when it happens I’m not as I usually would be before making physical love. Rather, it’s just that my heart is so open that it causes physical sensations. I think it just comes from feelings of love, like the river of life flowing from the throne of God in heaven.”

Esther,

“Yes, I react the same way actually. My body responds without thinking because I’m so connected in the Spirit and with you in the “moment”. Physical bodily reactions are primary with sex in the natural world, whereas, when we are close and intimate in the Spirit, these things are just by products.  Like gifts of spirit are by products of being filled with His Spirit.

Spiritually one

Esther,

“Ever since our union you have been craving oneness with me,  almost this closer than close intimacy with me.”

Michael

“I think we are supposed to bring forth something that requires spiritual mating.  Like we are to go forth, be fruitful, and multiply. Yes, my love,  I can’t be close enough to you. Feel like saying “blessed is the spiritual fruit of your womb.””

Spiritual nesting

Esther,

nursery

“And on top of that, I felt driven to clean out this room last week as if I was nesting.  Yet I’m not physically pregnant though, at this time. Nesting generally happens in the last trimester.  It is an urge to make sure that everything is sorted for the new arrival.  In addition, I feel God has been preparing me for much of my life, for this birthing specifically.”

Michael,

“Yes, I think we are “expecting” in a spiritual sense that we don’t really understand yet.  When I just let myself go and don’t judge these things by my natural mind that is exactly my feeling towards you. Actually, mating with you in the physical world, could not do justice to the overwhelming feeling that I want to merge with you in the Spirit. If I am honest with myself, that is what’s happening at the minute.”

New life

Esther,

“We are making spiritual babies. Going forth and multiplying as God told us to do and that is why we have been given this inner chamber experience.”

Michael,

“yes. my love, that is the truth of the matter.”

In conclusion, God is doing a new thing in this Earth.  YHWH re-creates us back into His image and likeness.  Furthermore, our Father begets and births us through the Holy Spirit of Promise and His Bride.

Finally, God says,

“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.”  “And she brought forth a man-child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.”
