His Sheep Hear His Voice – Do You?

God lives in you and His Spirit teaches you all things.  He comforts you and leads you into all truth.  This is why you do no need anyone to teach you;  God Himself teaches you.

Yes, those within the body of Christ are given the ministry of teaching, but the Spirit in you, i.e. God,  must bear witness to what they say.  In other words, God’s sheep hear His voice.

How’d We Get Into Such A Mess?

There is a common fallacy in the Christian church that you must “teach” people into all truth.  Other than giving an altar call and prayer, teaching seems to be the primary purpose of many services.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is what got us into trouble in the first place, so why keep going back to it in order to learn how to obey God?   Doing that then did not help us at all, so why do we believe it is necessary or beneficial now?
