I wrote, “The Final Feast”, not to tell believers exactly how to become a Tabernacle Christian but rather to help those interested personally explore this undiscovered country. Learn about the spiritual fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles and Divine Love here…
I believe that we should focus more on building the Kingdom of God, than building our own Kingdom. After all, our life is about Jesus and not us. Perhaps that sounds a bit “full on”, but remember you’ve been BOUGHT at a price, therefore glorify Him with your body and spirit. Jesus became the Servant King, coming not to be served, but to show us the way by becoming a servant of all. We are being born again into God’s Kingdom and follow the example set by our Lord Jesus first and foremost. If we do this one thing, God says everything else will be added. You are followers of the Way and ambassadors for Christ. God created everyone with a purpose, so use your life to serve in that God-given purpose.
Leaving selfish desires behind
We have to move away from being selfish. The world markets selfishness and every day we are influenced by its message. If we are easily influenced by the world and less by God, we must ask ourselves why. Let us forsake what we want and feed God’s sheep for they are starving. If we just concentrate on feeding ourselves each Sunday morning, are not we effectively being selfish?
The root of this problem is the end times spirit of self
I can almost see and feel people flinching at this, dismissing it as another “blah blah” sermon about the end times. Your right, it is yet another message about the world’s headlong rush into the arms of the Antichrist. However, get real with your faith and recognize the forces at work which bring you down, moving you away from God.
Paul says,
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Ephesian 6:12
So yes, we are under the end times spirit of selfishness. This spirit is simply Lucifer and you are caught in a colossal lie generated by an evil spirit who Hates both God and you. God creates the world perfect, but Satan corrupted it, introducing selfishness. Lucifer, through Eve, embedded selfish desires in man.
Here is a truth,
“The more carnal you are, the more selfish you become.”
So in a world which is so overcome with selfishness and so driven by selfishness, how do you break free of that spirit? Here are some steps to aid in that:
1) You have to repent!
Yes, the world is mucky and has us groaning. Yet, we still need to repent of our own selfishness and remember, “we are not our own, but we were redeemed with a huge price”. Christ died in our place, therefore we owe him everything. To be selfish is to deny the Lord who loves us. Take up your cross and do what Jesus wants daily.
2) You HAVE to become Kingdom focused!
Believers focus on building the kingdom of God, not on building their own kingdom. What we say and what we do, is it for our Kingdom or God’s Kingdom? Everyone has skills and abilities, use them to advance YHWH’s agenda, making kingdom work part of your daily life.
3) Esteem others more than yourself!
Finally, as you lose your life, Jesus says you will gain it back. Look the end time-spirit of selfishness in the face and tell it, ” you have no place in my life!” Putting other people first changes the whole atmosphere around you. People tend to do what others do around them, and eventually, your selflessness will rub off on others. Be the change you want to see. Be the light on a hill. Let yourself be the hand of God to others. Do unto others as you would have it done to yourself!
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
Genesis 1:26
God gave the first Adam Dominion
In the beginning, when everything was perfect, God gave Adam dominion over the entire Earth. Dominion means “sovereignty or control” and it was a reflection of our Father’s dominion over the entire universe. As God has dominion over everything He has created, so too His son had dominion over everything He was given. This is our genesis and God’s original intent.
Through Adam’s sin mankind left his first estate and lost the dominion that God gave him. Therefore, God says,
“And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.”
Genesis 9:2
After the fall of man, which culminated in the flood, the creation no longer submitted to man out of love and harmony. The very creation knew that Man had sinned and it no longer cooperated with God’s last creation. Consequently, this creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God to release it from the corruption of sin.
The Restoration of Dominion
We are in the midst of the restoration of dominion to those who know salvation, the Body of Christ. The gifts of the Spirit are a function of this restoration. Hence, what was lost to us through sin is given back to us through being clothed with Christ’s righteousness. Jesus demonstrates this restored dominion on the sea of Galilee,
“And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”
Matthew 8:25-27
The last Adam, Jesus Christ, exercised dominion over the Earth just as the first Adam did.
In Him, meaning as we are clothed with Jesus Christ, we also have dominion. The Holy Spirit, that spoke the Heavens and Earth into existence, literally dwells within us. Therefore, God’s power to create flows through our beings. If we will dare to allow God to manifest Himself through us, nothing is impossible.
With God, nothing is impossible
Jesus says,
“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
Matthew 17:20
We all know that God cannot lie and so what God says is absolutely, 100% true: nothing is impossible.
The truth is, we are all living in a gross deception. This deception tells us that we are born to suffer and must simply endure it. This monstrous lie deceives us into believing that we cannot change our circumstances when God Himself says that, through Him, nothing is impossible to us. I am here today to agree with God that nothing is impossible. Our financial circumstances are not impossible. Our unsaved relatives are not impossible. The cancer that is eating away at your child’s body is not impossible. Even your missing leg is not impossible for Gods says,
“For with God nothing shall be impossible”
Luke 1:37
A foretaste of our dominion: the Holy Spirit
As a result of the Holy Spirit, God restores dominion, to the Body of Christ. God gives us a “foretaste” of the world to come through the baptism of the Holy Ghost. We literally have the power of God dwelling in us. All we need to do is to let Him out.
What does this mean for you? It means that you have been living a lie. It means that you are rich beyond imagination because God will literally do anything you ask. No sickness, however terrible, can stand before you when you pray in the name of Jesus. It means that you are not even subject to the physical laws of this universe. You operate, presently, with the dominion you will have in the New Heavens and New Earth. It means that literally nothing is impossible for you in the name of Jesus Christ.
I know that unbelief is telling you that what I just wrote is impossible. Perhaps everything in your life says that what I wrote cannot possibly be so. Maybe you fear to believe that such marvelous things can take place in your own life. However that may be, hear this,
“Almighty God recreates us back into His image and likeness. Though Adam lost dominion over this creation through sin, Christ restores dominion over this creation through faith!”
The power and demonstration of the Spirit
Hence, we are sons of the Most High. We walk in the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit that even exceeds the first century church. As a result, the lame leap, the deaf hear, the blind see, and the dead shall rise. The very elements of this world will obey our every command as we are led by God’s Spirit. The manifested sons of God walk in the power and authority of the son of God: Jesus Christ. Nothing that Jesus asked of His Farther, save going to the cross, was withheld from Him. Therefore, nothing, except bearing our own cross in whatever form that takes, is withheld from us either.
You, like Christ, are more than a conqueror. We have dominion: we just have to realize and exercise it. We can do nothing in and of ourselves. God is the one who does the heavy lifting for us. When we rebuke a demon in the name of Jesus it is cast out by the finger of God. When we command a thing to be done in Jesus name, God performs the miracle. As we become one with God, His mind, heart, and Spirit flows through us and nothing is impossible.
In Him, Nothing is impossible
Think of the most impossible thing that is troubling your life right now. Do you have it in your mind? That thing, that mountain that blocks your way, is not impossible. You actually have dominion over it in Jesus name. Therefore, your circumstance can change for the better this very instant if you believe. It does not matter what it is or how long it has been there, with God all things are possible. Here is a truth,
“Suspend your disbelief.”
No matter what your circumstances look like speak faith to it. No matter how hopeless you feel, declare that it is well with your soul. Whatever the Devil is doing simply do not submit to it but rather say in a loud voice “God is able!” Raise your hands to God in the midst of your oppression and cry “I am free in Jesus name!” Take the dominion God gives through Jesus Christ and lay waste to the kingdom of Satan! Overthrow all the Devil’s evil works in your life and then liberate others too! Triumph in the name of Emanuel!
There is great power is unity
Here is the key,
“God gave the Spirit without measure to Jesus. All the fullness of the Godhead indwelt Christ bodily. God gives the members of the Body of Christ the Spirit by measure. Therefore, it is the unity of Christ Body, fitly joined together in love, that will restore our dominion and make nothing impossible for us.”
Coming together “In Him” and being one in Jesus Christ is not optional but essential for all of us. The power of the Holy Spirit multiplies in us as we yield as one people. This is why Jesus said,
“For where twoorthree are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20
Becoming one with God
Moreover, as we become one with God we become one with each other and so fulfill the prayer that Jesus spoke in John chapter 17. God brings about our dominion as we are one. The unity of the Spirit remakes us into the image and likeness of our heavenly Father.
In conclusion, how do you do this? You start by saying “yes” to the Holy Spirit each and every day. You do His will and allow His life to flow through you.
Finally, when God speaks to your mind, listen. As God speaks His command in your heart, obey. When you feel compelled to hug, hug. As you feel the word of God in your mouth you speak.
