God cannot die because the scriptures say He changes not.

God Cannot Die

God cannot die because, as He is today, He has always been and He always will be.

The scriptures state,

“But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.”

Jeremiah 10:10

and,

“For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”

Malachi 3:6

Obviously, God cannot die

There is a blindness that is upon some which prevents them from understanding that God cannot die. Heresies of old, committed by those who lost their way more than a millennia ago, continue to hinder God’s people from knowing His basic nature.

One of the most damaging dogmas that Christians are “required to believe” is that God died for their sins upon the cross.  I have literally had believers tell me that if God cannot die then we could not be saved.

However, during Christ’s final hours, we plainly read that God was not present on the cross.

“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

Matthew 27:46

Why do some become offended when we say, “God cannot die?”

So why do some insist that God died upon the cross when the scripture plainly says He did not? Moreover, why would people even assume that God could die being that He is eternal?

The closest I can come to explaining this inconsistency is that people are taught they must believe a certain set of “core” doctrines to be saved.  The truths of these basic doctrines, they are told, have been settled centuries ago and belief in them is mandatory. Whether it is spoken or unspoken, new believers quickly realize that to be accepted they must hold these basic beliefs or else they face ostracism by their brethren.

The label of Heresy intimidates

Heresy, which is just an extreme form of biblical error, is based upon intimidation. Those who preach and promote heresy will not allow reasonable people to examine their dogmas because what they teach is not open, in their minds, to question. When you say something as biblically obvious as “God cannot die,” they attack you.  You simply must believe what they believe because that is how it has always been.  If you dare to prod their “sacred cows” they cry heretic!  End of conversation.  In acting out in this way they fulfill this scripture,

“Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.”

Luke 6:22

God cannot die therefore the doctrine of the trinity is false.

The Athanasian creed states,

“Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith. Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled; without doubt he shall perish everlastingly. And the catholic faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity,…”

And,

“Father is God; the Son is God; and the Holy Ghost is God. And yet they are not three Gods; but one God.”

Therefore, in the trinitarian way of thinking Jesus, who is as much God as the Father, died on the cross.  However, because God cannot die, the doctrine of the trinity is in error.

Sacred cows make the best hamburgers

The doctrine of the trinity is the most sacred of Christianities’ holy cows.  You simply cannot question this dogma if you wish to remain in fellowship with most normative Christians.  It does not matter that God, being eternal, cannot die.  No matter that Christ himself declared that God had left him.  It only matters that you pass the litmus test of believing what the majority requires because if you don’t then you are viewed as dangerous and you must be cast out for his name’s sake. This is not the way Jesus taught us to treat one another.

Jesus is the pattern son.  We read,

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.  If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.  For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.”

The reason that it is important to know and believe the truth about who the Son of Man says he is, is that God wants all of us to conform to His son’s pattern.  It is written,

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

Romans 8:29

Jesus is the pattern son

Jesus was not born a small god nor is he the second person of the trinity.  No one can follow a pattern like that because no one can be like God.  However, if Jesus is the son of God who was born of a woman and was fully man then we can follow in his footsteps. Here is a truth:

“Let Jesus Shine Through You.”

The Scriptures tell us,

“And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”

Revelation 21:23

In the Greek, the term light is more closely translated “lamp.” Therefore, God is the glory and Jesus, as a man, allows that glory to shine through him. As a lamp holds that which gives light, so Jesus is the light of the world because God is in him producing that light. Does not Jesus say about himself,

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

John 8:12

Jesus says,

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”

Matthew 5:14

When we view Christ as a man who was filled with the glory of God then His example becomes clear. As Christ fully gave himself to God He became the express image of our Father.  As we yield ourselves to God we too, as Christ’s body, become many expressions of our adopted Father.  The only difference between us and Christ is that whereas he had all the fullness of God in him bodily we receive the Spirit by measure because we are many.

Why do Trinitarians fear to say God cannot die?

Fear and intimation power these damnable doctrines.  They are not rational because they are not biblical.  Believing heresies, taught by power brokers within the church, become the price of admission before you may fellowship with their members. However, the time has come to put away error and to embrace the truth no matter what the cost. If we refuse to allow ourselves to know the basic truth about the nature of God then we embrace deception and do not know in whom we have believed.

In conclusion, in a time of strong delusion, we must rally to God’s truth no matter what others say.  This can only be accomplished by each one of us listening to the Spirit of Truth.  Part of listening to the Holy Spirit is accepting the truth that God cannot die, even though others may persecute you.  As the darkness grows, we must choose what is right in Him over what is in error in everyone else.  Each one of us must come into alignment with His Holy Spirit or else we shall be swallowed up in the spirit of Antichrist that is already deceiving the earth.  Buy oil while it is still possible to do so. The night cometh when no man can work.
