A Baptism Of God’s Love

Baptism of God's love

Have you received the baptism of God’s love since you believed?

Just like there is a Baptism of repentance and a Baptism of the Holy Spirit, there is also a baptism of God’s love. Each of these three experiences help us to move closer to perfection by experiencing Jesus in greater degrees.

Many of us receive God’s forgiveness when we accept Jesus Christ as our lord and savior. After or during that, many speak in other tongues as they are baptized with the Holy Spirit. We called this being filled with the Holy Ghost.

The baptism of God’s love

There is a third baptism in God for all who ask. This is a baptism of God’s love and it is a distinct experience in God. This Tabernacle Blessing occurs when we open up and receive God’s Spirit through one another. We can ask for it just like we asked to be saved or Spirit filled.

God is love, therefore when we allow Him to fill us, we become love too. Whereas the manifestation (or revealing) of salvation is often an intense feeling of forgiveness, the Baptism of love is an overwhelming feeling of love for another and God. As God wills, we feel an instant connection with certain members of the Body of Christ. It is as though we’ve know them forever and trust them completely.

God in us

In reality, it is God we love and trust, but because they are yielding to His Spirit, we feel the same towards them too. Filled with God, we all become vessels of His love. We see Jesus in their eyes and it makes us love them completely. Feeling Jesus in their tender touch, we know He cares. When they speak, under the anointing of this baptism of love, we hear the gentle voice of our Savior.

As God becomes one with us, we automatically feel the baptism of His love. What started with salvation, continues with Holy Spirit baptism, and culminates in the outpouring of the baptism of His love.

How do you receive this baptism of God’s love?

The way that we receive the baptism of God’s love is through the laying on of hands. When a person wants to receive this gift, they ask God to fill them and, if someone is praying for them, they lay hands on their belly.

Jesus said during the feast of Tabernacles,

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

John 7:37,38

Therefore, in order for the Holy Spirit to flow from our belly, God must fill you in the first place. This is why it is important for those who have been baptized in God’s love to lay hands on those who wish to be filled.

In truth, God fills us with His baptism of love any number of different ways. So there is no “formula” for doing so. However, let each of you be led by His Holy Spirit in the way that works best for you. The bottom line is simply to seek God’s love and you shall be filled.

A baptism of God’s love naturally leads to demonstrations of His love

The baptism of God’s love is what made love feasts in the early church possible. It is what led the apostle Paul to exhort everyone to greet one another with a holy kiss. Having all things in common seemed like a very good idea since no one wanted to leave church anyway. Holiness became second nature to those under the influence of God’s love. People simply do not sin when they love as Christ loves.

We are on the verge of a mighty move of God’s love. This baptism of love, once it begins, will spread like wildfire in a dry forest. People are hungry for a direct experience with God. What better way to feel His presence than to have a brother or sister manifest His nature to you.

The Tabernacles Vision and Mission Statement

Our Vision:

To Assist the Body of Christ to become One with God

Our Mission:

To Participate in the Restoration of The

Tabernacle Blessing to the Body of Christ

English: By Rembrandt.

I feel led by the Spirit to lay out a  framework to aid in the restoration of the spiritual fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles.  This is by no means an exhaustive treatise on this subject, but rather just a broad sketch of possible steps to accomplish our worthy goal.

To begin with, we, as ministers of the full gospel of Jesus Christ, should consider working together to restore the final feast.  The reason I believe this is important is because perfection requires that the elect enter into the Tabernacle experience.

Paul says,

“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:”

Ephesians 4:13

This scripture was partially fulfilled in the book of Acts,

“And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.”

Acts 4:32

These scriptures speak of the end result of a Tabernacle experience that every minister should be working towards with their people.  I believe that the  perfect man of Ephesians, as a group, can only be achieved through entering into the Final Feast.

Three steps to perfection

The first step towards the perfection of the saints is, of course, the spiritual fulfillment of the Feast of Passover.  In the church age, this equates to the experience of salvation.  The second step is the spiritual fulfillment of the feast of Pentecost. In the church age this equates to Spirit baptism as  evidence by speaking in other tongues.  The third and final step in this process is the spiritual fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles.  In the church age this equates to the Tabernacle experience of becoming “one” with God the Father. The manifestation of this oneness is Divine Love which is, in turn, spiritual connections between members of the Body of Christ.

Many ministers fail to bring their churches into the unity of the faith because they lack one or more of these necessary experiences.  Frankly, it is not possible to fulfill Ephesians 4:13 without experiencing all three feasts.  It’s Divine Love (not teaching) that brings about the unity of the Spirit leading to the unity of the faith.

Seven Core Principles Of The Tabernacles Movement

The tabernacle movement is based on seven core principles.  These principles give structure to our fellowship, yet does not restrict it.

First principle:  working outside the church

In order to accomplish the goal of restoring this final feast we should not seek to change the church from within. Stepping outside organized religion, we focus our efforts and resources on the unchurched.

Second principle: restoring divine order

Secondly, we restore the office and authority of the apostle and prophet. Jesus, of course, is the chief cornerstone and all we do must align with him.  Keeping him in preeminence, the foundation stones of our movement must be laid by true apostles and prophets.    Pastors and teachers should be encouraged to take their proper places under these ministries so that they function as God intended.  The office of evangelist operates primarily outside the church, focusing on sharing this fully restored gospel to the lost.

Third principle: disciples

The third step in our mission is to disciple others in this baptism of love.  The Tabernacle Blessing is not a new or extra biblical doctrine, but rather a restoration of what the first century church lived. The spiritual fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles began when Peter said, “silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

As we disciple new converts they will begin to experience God’s Divine Love through the laying on of hands. As young men and women grow in this restored truth we will disciple new leadership to help further this movement.

Fourth principle:  highways and byways

The fourth step focuses on the disenfranchised and disenchanted of society. We, like David, welcome the distressed, indebted, or discontented. Thus  In the beginning, we seek to preach in places where the normative does not frequent.

Fifth principle:  Helping Young Adults Find Their Divine Mates

We believe that marriage is one of the most important decisions young adults will make in their lifetime. Therefore, one of the central goals of the Tabernacle Movement will be to help young adults find their Divine Mates. Our goal is that the teaching of being Spirit led to find and marry your Divine Mate become be as wide-spread and accepted as salvation or speaking in other tongues.

Sixth principle: church based cooperative business

This movement will also focus upon fostering and promoting business among its members. Spirit led entrepreneurs provide an economic engine to fund our activities.   Adequate funding enables us to promote the Tabernacle Experience effectively.  Those disciples with the aptitude and desire to do business will be encouraged.

Seventh principle:  Decentralization

We should not overly centralize our movement.  If one part is hindered, we want to make sure the remaining parts can still function. The organizing principle of our movement will be,

“Listen, Hear, and Obey On Time.”

To reiterate, the 7 main principles of the Tabernacles movement are as follows.

  1. Concentrate on evangelism of the unchurched.
  2. Seek to restore the office and authority of the apostle and prophet.
  3. Reveal the Tabernacle Experience to new converts.
  4. Seek converts from the outcasts of society, churched and unchurched.
  5. Helping young adults find and marry their divine mate.
  6. Promote business among members
  7. Endeavor to keep this movement decentralized.

The restoration of the final feast

In conclusion, it is important that we put action to our faith and bring about the restoration of the final feast. We are tasked with the vision of helping God’s children not only come back to the Garden, but go beyond it. We desire to enter once again into the glorious liberty of the sons of God.  Doing our part, we help bring about the unity of the Spirit through the bonds of love.

Sincerely,

Michael King
