God Has My Wallet

wallet

Oh No!  Where Is My Wallet!

God did something very wonderful for me today and I want to share a praise report.  Yesterday, I needed to go in for a medical test several hours away.  It was one of those tests that you have to be fasting since the night before.  So, as advised, I did not eat in the morning, not even drinking water.

Unfortunately, I forgot about daylight savings time and rose an hour early to start my journey. Reaching the hospital early, the receptionist said, “I am sorry sir, you’re not scheduled until Wednesday!”   I protested, greatly put out by the mix up.  Eventually, they found their scheduling department made a mistake and they pledged to “work me in” sometime that day.  That “some time” turned out to be three and one half hours later.  At 1 pm, totally parched and famished, the nurse finally called me in.

Starving at the Hospital

As I prepared for the test, I gave my wallet to my wife for safekeeping.  The whole procedure took about two hours.  I thank God that they found nothing wrong and discharged me three hours later.  Fortunately, directly out of the medical test they fed me a nice meal from the hospital cafeteria.

However, the day after, I asked my wife for my wallet and she said she could not find it.  I panicked!  My driver’s license and credit cards were in that wallet!  All my other licenses etc. were in my wallet!  We called the hospital and they said no one reported finding a wallet.  It seemed like there was nothing more to be done.  Then my wife, who has the gift of the word of knowledge, felt like she should call the gas station we stopped at on the way home.  To me, it seemed like a total long shot, but she made the call.  To her great relief the attendant said, “oh yes, we found his wallet.”

Oh thank God, you have it!

Wow! Praise God.  I thank Him so much.  However, the most amazing thing is that the person who found my wallet in the woman’s restroom knew me by name and face from a church we used to attend many years ago!  How kewl is that!  Not only did someone find my wallet, but the person who found it knew my name and recognized my picture on my license!  (Note, this gas station is about 70 miles from where I live on the interstate highway.)

I  want to praise God and testify that He is great even in the relatively small things in life.  Losing my wallet is not life-threatening, but on top of everything else that happened that day, it would have been very discouraging.  I thank my Father for looking out for me and making my life a little bit easier.

The Camping Of Community Chapel & Bible Training Center

community chapel & bible training center camped

Dear Connections,

I have been thinking about the remnants of Community Chapel & Bible Training Center and this is the conclusion I have come too.  The elders side was completely wrong and in rebellion to God Himself.  None of the people I have spoken with from the Elders side seemed to have progressed from that spot where they decided to attack what God did.  In fact, many of them have become ravenous wolves.

The pastor’s side was, and for the most part is, a different matter.  These people held on to the truth of Spiritual Connections and Divine Love (Which they call agape love).  This is commendable.  I have spoken with a few former members and recognize the Spirit of God in them.

People camped, even in the midst of a Tabernacles revival

However, and this is the problem that has not resolved itself from the move of God at Chapel, many do not acknowledge or accept that sometimes Divine Love results in Divine Divorce.  From what I have heard, Don Barnett never acknowledged the fact the Barbara divorced him.  This led, as far as I know, to the members of the Church of Agape, believing that spiritual connections were permissible, but divorce was not.  Don Barnett forbade members of the Church of Agape to divorce and marry their connections. In effect, Don camped and refused to move another inch.

Resist putting our hand to the Ark of God

I believe this was and is a grave error.  To the very end, even those who accepted the move of Spiritual connections, did not accept it all the way.  They tried to control what God did rather than facilitate what He wanted to do.  Eventually Don Barnett lost everything because, according to some reports, as soon as he became incapacitated through illness, the church left the teaching of Spiritual Connections and forbade it.

Now that Community Chapel & Bible Training Center camped at Divine Divorce, everything God tried to birth is dissipating.  I see a people that have camped.  I ask the remnant that still believe, “what did resisting the Holy Spirit in any aspect of the move of God benefit anyone?”  In retrospect, allowing God to move and adopting a more hands-off approach would have been preferable to what took place.  The whole notion that Don Barnett would maintain the balance that the Latter Rain revival lacked was flawed from the beginning.

Community Chapel & Bible Training Center Camped At Divine Divorce

Now, what we have, are good people stuck in the place that Don Barnett decided to camp.  People rejected Divine Divorce, and in the end, everything was lost.  Perhaps some will carry on , but as of this writing, not many are.  What God did and was desiring to do is beautiful beyond belief. Sadly, not many people remain to testify of the move of Tabernacles at CC&BTC.

My controversy with former Chapelites is that they are camping where Don Barnett left them and do not seem to be able to move forward.  Many still believe they are God’s chosen while remaining frozen in time.

Why did we throw it all away?

In concluson, Community Chapel was severely flawed, however it did something very few churches have ever done: birth Tabernacles.  Brining forth Tabernacles has seldom been accomplished in the last 2000 years.  CC&BTC  heralds a coming move of Tabernacles in our generation.  Therefore, I believe people should take it seriously and try to understand fully what God did.  It is time for all those who survived to pick themselves up.  Dust yourself off and get on about God’s business of restoring the final feast.  Else, everything we went through, everything we suffered, and everything that truly mattered will be for not.

Sincerely,

Michael King
