An Example Of Being Spirit Led

being spirit led

Jesus is the way maker

Many times we struggle with problem areas that seem intractable. The more we try to solve them ourselves, the more discouraged we become. This is why it is important to allow God to take control and just follow His Spirit. What we cannot seem to fix, He has a way to take care of that we could not see coming.

It’s Someone we yield to

Being Spirit led is not something we do, but someone we yield to. We just say yes and trust that He knows best. Yes, we have to do certain things, but the steps are often manageable if we just focus on the next one.

Testimonies are great, because you see how God worked in another’s life to bring about a positive result. However, each of us must find our own path in God and though He may work in a similar way in your life, that is not always the case. Trust God to speak to you specifically and just do what He says to do, when He says to do it. Allow Him to guide you in a unique way that is tailor made for you.

Be encouraged by her example of being spirit led

Be encouraged today, God is saying that He has a way forward that you don’t see. Trust Him and listen to His voice, He won’t steer you wrong!

Big hugs and lots of love,

Michael

Be Thou Transfigured

transfigured

Was Jesus Like This All The Time?

I woke up today, as I often do, with a revelation on my mind. Today God spoke to me about the mount of transfiguration.  God says,

“And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,  And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.  And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.”

Matthew 17:1-3

What came into my mind this morning is that, perhaps what happened on the mount of transfiguration was a “single experience” for the disciples, but not for Jesus.   God says,

“And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyesof the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

2 King 6:7

Seeing things as they really are

You see, Elisha merely asked God to open the eyes of His servant to see what was already there.  Elisha did not worry at all about the natural armies around them, because He saw the spiritual reality all the time.

God gives us an earnest of our inheritance through His Holy Spirit.  This means, that we receive a portion of what we will receive in our glorified state on the New Heavens and New Earth.  However, whereas we receive the Spirit by measure Jesus received the Spirit without measure.  God says,

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

Colossians 2:9

Therefore, though we  have a taste of things to come, Jesus experienced all of it every day.  Jesus walked, on this earth, as the glorified Christ.  Jesus literally walked in heavenly places.

God open our eyes that we may see

If this is true, it has profound implications for all of us.   Perhaps like Elisha’s servant, God merely allowed Peter and John to see what the spiritual reality of Jesus was.  Christ’s disciples saw , for a moment, Christ as He really was all the time.  Maybe to those with eyes to see Christ’s face always shown as the sun and his regiment was white as light all the time.

Actually, this revelation explains a lot.  If Jesus walked into a synagogue like that of course demons would cry out.  Jesus appeared to evil spirits just as he is going to appear to them at the Great White Throne judgement.

The son of God sleeps through a storm and, after commanding it to “peace be still” feels annoyed at His disciples lack of faith.  Why is this so?  Ithe truth is that Jesus constantly lived in the realm of the world to come.   In our Father’s new creation all the things we call miracles are common place.

We currently walk in heavenly places

We as individuals to an extent, as the Body of Christ to a much greater extent, walk in heavenly places with Christ Jesus right now.  Just as Jesus walked fully in the New Creation, through a foretaste of our inheritance, we walk in that New Creation too.  We are not subject to the natural laws of this universe, because we lay hold of the powers of the world to come.  The more we yield to the Spirit of God the more we live like Jesus did and does.  As we do that the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit flows through us just like it does with Jesus.  For example, at one point, after the infilling of the Holy Spirit, even the shadow of Peter healed people.

Therefore I say, “be thou transfigured”.  In other words realize that we walk in two worlds by faith.  We may be in this world by we are not of it.  As we walk in the Spirit we are transfigured, appropriating and participating in the powers of that world to come.  If God would open our eyes to see, like He did Peter and John’s, we would see ourselves quite differently.

Be thou transfigured

God says,

“And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”

Revelation 21:22,23

In conclusion, Peter and John saw Jesus as he truly is on the mount of transfiguration and, if you can receive it, that is what we look like too.
