And There Shall Be Earthquakes.
We have all heard the scripture about earthquakes happening in different places in the end times. I have a message from God that I am compelled to share with you. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
God woke me up one morning saying “Drive, and I will show you where to go.” So I got up, and without having breakfast, started driving west as the Spirit led me. Starting in Kentucky, the Holy Spirit told me which roads to take and turns to make. After a few hours I came upon a large city and started driving through its back suburbs and then into the its back alleyways. I had no Idea where I was as I drove between two brick buildings in what looked like the old part of town; full of dilapidated buildings. God said, “stop, get out of your car.” So I did. Ahead of me I saw the narrow cobble stone alley open up into a busy thoroughfare and God goaded me to walk that direction.
Idols in the Bible Belt
It is written,
‘Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.”
Leviticus 26:1
Having never been in Memphis before I knew nothing about the city, when I reached the end of the ally what I saw shocked me. Stepping out of the shadows and into the bright summer light, I stood before a replica of the great pyramid of Giza and a large statue of what appeared to be an Egyptian Pharaoh. Crossing the busy street, God led me to stand directly in front of that image. I looked up at the 25 ft tall statue and then looked at the inscription, it read,
“Ramesses The Great. “
As I stared at those words God said,
“See what my people have done,? See how they have placed this image of Pharaoh in their midst to provoke Me to anger? See how they have turned away from Me and idolized the false god I destroyed? “
I just stood in dumb silence and could say nothing. God finished by declaring with an anger that made my spirit tremble,
“behold, I will destroy this place and you will see his face no more.”
I have wondered for a long time how a Christian nation could do such a thing as to honor an ungodly nation and its leader that God destroyed. It was like God was showing me part of His justification for the coming judgement upon America. I remember the feeling of sadness and, if possible, God’s disbelief that a people He planted and raised up could do such a foolish thing and provoke Him to wrath.
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places
(Luke 21:11, Mark 13:8, Matthew 24:7)
This happened in 1993. It was the last stop on a cross country journey that lead me from Seattle, Washington; to Newport Beach, California; and finally to stand before this graven image of a fallen Pharaoh in Memphis, Tennessee. God said that in Washington there would be a 10.2 magnitude earthquake located in the Straight of Juan De Fuca which would level Seattle. That first judgement would trigger a second earthquake near Newport Beach, California. When I drove through Newport, God said that all I saw would fall into the sea (just like recently depicted in the movie entitled “2012”). Finally, as I stood before the graven image of Ramesses my Father said that a third earthquake will destroy Memphis and the surrounding area until nothing would be left. This will be the beginning of the judgement upon America.
Earthquakes as Judgement Upon a Heathen Nation
There is a deception among many in our once great nation that we are still God’s people. However, that is no longer true: we are a heathen nation, like Egypt, in which many of God’s people live. the United States of America has turned from the one true God and we have provoked Him to wrath with the very types of idolatry that He chastised His chosen people for. God is nothing if not consistent and if He pleaded with Israel through famines, pestilence, and earthquakes how can we escape His displeasure if we do the same as those He judged?
Marked with the Ink Horn of God
It is written,
And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.”
Ezekiel 9:4
Even in the midst of impending judgement God notes who is troubled by the things that trouble Him and who is not. If you wish you hide yourself from the events to come hide yourself in God through prayer. The best way to avoid being caught up in America’s judgement is to simply not be present when those things that are about to happen takes place. You can know the times and seasons of God through listening to His Holy Spirit and doing what He says to do when He says to do it.
As in the Days of Noah – a promise of hope
Often times, avoiding major cataclysmic events takes preparation, sacrifice, and a whole lot of faith. If you are listening, you will be told by the Holy Spirit that you should do certain things which, according to your natural understanding, seem ridiculous. However, like Noah, you must trust the voice of your Father more than you trust your own understanding.
Also, it is written,
“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
Amos 3:7
There are prophets (not many though) that God does reveal His intent and will too. If you find such people and you feel in your spirit that they really do speak the present word of God; listen to them. In every judgement God always speaks before hand to His seers and they are compelled by God to speak truth to his people. Such prophets will almost always be reviled by those in religious authority for they will speak things that expose and challenge the status quo. If you are serious with God and in prayer God will speak to you through such people. Take heed to what they say for by doing so, you may escape the calamities to come, and deliver your own soul.
