Peters shadowI am amazed, sometimes, at how downtrodden many Christians are. We are exhausted, demoralized, traumatized, and barely holding on. We try our best but it seems, no matter what we do, we continue to struggle.  In fact, this is so common some have given up and given in to the notion that living like this is “normal” and just the way it is meant to be. However, as an act of defiance against such demonic oppression in my own life, let me suggest a better way.

The strength of any natural body lies in its coordination.  A single finger is only so strong.  However, together, five fingers can hold something tightly. Add to that an arm, an elbow, and a shoulder and now you have something strong and useful.

The source of our bodies coordination is our head.  We think and our brain commands our body to carry out our will.  Olympic athletes, who do amazing things physically, are examples of extreme coordination allowing them to compete at the very limits of human ability.

When the body cannot coordinate, when it cannot carry out our will, we say it is sick.  For instance, the national Multiple sclerosis society states,

“Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.”

This disease often times leads to uncoordinated, jerky movements that make it increasingly difficult for the afflicted person to interact with their physical environment.

I would submit, to anyone who has read this far, that the Body of Christ is sick.  We are often spastic and uncoordinated.  We suffer as a whole because we do not or cannot listen to our head, which is Jesus Christ, and carry out his will.  Our true strength is never available to us because our many members are acting independently and doing things that work against each other.

We are in need of the Great Healer.  We need to be “cured” of our inability to allow Jesus to control and coordinate the actions of His body. When we do, we shall see such an explosion of strength and effectiveness, that that world will be amazed that a nation has been born in a day and God’s kingdom in heaven will rejoice.

In reality, the Body of Christ has everything it needs to do the work of the ministry.  There is no lack of time, energy, or resources.  There is enough people, in enough places, to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth TODAY.  There is enough of Jesus in each one of us that if we would allow Him to lead and guide us the unity of the Spirit would happen TODAY.  There is enough of the power of God in the Body of Christ that no sickness or deformity could exist and everyone, no matter how sever their malady was, would be healed TODAY.

In Peter’s Shadow

It is written,

“Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.”

Acts 5:15

When the Holy Spirit was moving in amazing power and demonstration during  the first century church, even when the shadow of the apostle Peter cast itself upon a sick person they would instantly be healed.  During that time believers sold lands and houses laying the proceeds at the apostles feet. The excess that people had in this world was converted into resources for the kingdom of God.  The Body of Christ began to function as God intended and people found that there was, in fact, more than enough to do whatever God wanted.

I preach and teach a return to God’s divine love because that is the way that the Body of Christ will again come together and grow, almost over night, into that perfect man of Ephesians.  As it is written,

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”

Ephesians 4;13

It is the Tabernacle experience, the infilling of Divine Love, that will knit the Body of Christ together into that perfect man.  It is the outpouring of the Love of God that will cause every joint to supply the others needs,

“From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”

Ephesians 6:14

What I write is meant to give sight to the spiritually blind, encourage those who are spiritually deaf to hear God’s voice, and allow those whose spiritual walk is halting to run. I am revealing to you, through the Holy Spirit, not only the truth of our condition, but the way forward out of it.

The Tabernacle experience is God with us. The nature of God is love and only that love will cause us to lay down our earthly desires and fix our eyes upon what is real: The New Heavens and New Earth.  We are holding on so tightly to things that are passing away that we do not allow God to manifest Himself through us.  We so are burdened down with the cares and worries of this world that we risk loosing eternal life for ourselves and others.  The work of the ministry languishes because we are so focused on our own pain and insecurity that we fail to hear the instructions of our Great Shepherd that could change everything in our lives for the better in an instant.

I say to you, by the Spirit of Almighty God, that there is coming a day when the Body of Christ will unite through the shared experience of Tabernacles.  We will become one through a mighty outpouring of God’s love which will cause each joint in the Body of Christ to supply that which the other one needs.  In a moment, everything we have been clutching so tightly will fall from our fatigued hands as we simply allow God to manifest in and through our flesh.  All the control and fear that has been instilled in God’s people will evaporate and the churches will empty as God’s people leave the prisons of their minds and go froth into the world, to the highways and byways, and compel the lost to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Change is in the wind just and moisture before a spring rain.  It is coming for we can feel it.  The latter rain is about to bring forth a mighty harvest and abundant increase in the Body of Christ.  No longer will we be oppressed and suffer lack because very joint will supply what the other one needs and we will truly be built up into a perfect man by the experiential love of God.  Amen.

Turn it up and believe it!
