Jesus says,
“I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. “
John 17:23
and
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”
Many talk about love, but do we really know what is takes to fulfill the greatest of all commandments? What does it really mean to love others as Christ loves us?
Really, loving each other is not such a bad assignment
In reality, loving another person(s) is not such a bad assignment. To experience God’s agape love flowing through you is one of the most amazing feelings in the world. Experiencing pure, holy, selfless love for another human being is as close to heaven as you will ever come here on earth.
However, agape love does not necessarily mean non-physical love. In fact, in most cases of godly love there is an element of physical touch. God through Jesus touched people all the time and we should expect to do the same.
While many might agree that it is God’s right to ask anything for the gospels sake, those same people vehemently disagree that it is God’s right to hold, kiss, or make love through us as He wishes.
This is really where the dividing line between being Spirit led or natural minded comes into play. I can tell you all day long that it’s God’s business whether or not you hold another saint, but if you see with only natural eyes, you’ll never truly see what He’s doing.
We all need to feel God’s love
We’re all flesh and blood and we need to feel God’s love. The church decrees that a man and woman, while alone, must not hug unless they are mates. However, these man-made rules do not apply to those who are led of the Spirit. Moreover, man’s authority never supersedes God’s mandate. No one has the right, on heaven or earth, to countermand a direct leading of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, always obey God rather than man.
People don’t often get killed for the gospel’s sake in the western world. However, God is not calling us to give our lives in that way at this point in history. What God is calling us to do is love one another without reserve, question, or fear. This means that if you feel to hold a man or woman at any particular moment, sacrifice your reason on the altar of obedience and do it.
If you get what the Tabernacles Blessing is, it is your destiny to embrace it
Those who are called to divine love, in whatever form it takes, “get” what I am saying. You may blush or wonder out loud how can these things be, but you know deep inside it is right and holy. I am telling you today that if you understand what I have just said, flesh and blood has not revealed it to you.
God illuminates His true love to those who are open to it. YHWH calls His people to know one another in anyway He sees fit. None of societies norms apply to those who are destined to receive and practice the Tabernacles Blessing. We live by the law of love as practiced in the New Heavens and New Earth. Agape love does not seek its it’s own, but believes all things, bears all things and hope’s all things. Agape love never fails because it is God’s nature manifested in our flesh. Therefore, we love as our Lord decrees and not as the world demands.
Love each other as Christ loves you
In conclusion, love one another as Christ loves you. Give your very bodies to be used in the service of your Lord. Withhold nothing from God when it comes to meeting the needs of another. God is in control and He is purity, loveliness, and devotion personified. If you walk in the Spirit, you will in not fulfill the lusts of your lower nature. In fact, you will live in perfect harmony with both God and man.
