And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
The words of God are a creative force
Our Father created the Heavens and Earth through speaking. God spoke the worlds into existence. God chose, out of all the possible ways, to speak creation into existence. I believe this is significant because it sets forth an example for us, as God’s children, of how we should also create.
God says,
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
The Holy Ghost gives us power to be witnesses of Jesus to all the world. How is this so? Furthermore, how are we to use this power to accomplish this great task?
We want to be just like our Father
We are, through adoption, the sons and daughters of God. As God’s offspring, our natural inclination is to do what we see our Father do. Our Father speaks and the creation obeys. We, as adopted sons and daughters, do the same.
We are not small gods and never will be. However, that same Spirit that raises Christ from the dead dwells in us. The power of God, His Holy Spirit (which is actually just the Spirit of God which is Holy) is given to us to accomplish His will on Earth as it is in Heaven. Therefore, we have the power to create, through God, whatever we need to do His will.
Here is a truth,
“We create through speaking into existence whatever we need.”
Silver and gold have I none…
For example,
“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
Acts 3:1-6
Peter spoke and, through the power of the Holy Spirit, healing came to a man who been lame from the time of His birth. Peter, the adopted son of the living God, carried out this act of creation. Just like his heavenly Father, Peter spoke and it was so.
Speaking of mountains
Jesus said,
“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
Matthew 17:20
Joshua demonstrates this principle when he says,
“Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. 13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.”
Joshua 10:12,13
Our miracle is only a word of faith away
No matter what the situation is, God gives us the power to accomplish His will. Create whatever you need through the power of God. I believe we have the power, through the Holy Spirit, to do miracles.
Have you ever had your child attempt something that is beyond their ability? Perhaps they decided to lift something too heavy for them and you helped simply because you found their faith in themselves so endearing. Likewise, God loves it when we have faith and moves to assist us to do the impossible when we believe.
Speak what you need into existence
In conclusion, we create through speaking, just like our Father does. Whatever challenges we face, whatever things we need to accomplish are available to us through speaking them into existence. This is what the gift of miracles is all about: creation through speaking.
Therefore, whatever you need, simply start speaking and creating it through God our Father. Tell your problems to go through God’s power. Speak to your lack of finances and say that you have the wealth of the nations at your beck and call. If you don’t like your circumstances command them to change. In fact, if you need anything from God, speak it into existence through the power from on high, which you have been given. Nothing shall be impossible for you.
