Strange Wives

strange wives

God’s revelation is often difficult to share because it is so diametrically opposed to commonly held beliefs. Add to that the fact that our natural minds cannot understand the things of the Spirit and people can misunderstand what you are saying.

However, I’m sharing revelation to those who desire to hear what God is saying to this generation. Moreover, revelation is not new teaching, it only states what is presently true. Like switching on the light in a darkened room, revelation only illuminates what is already there. We may be surprised at what the room contains, but once we see the light, the truth is plain for all to see.

Is Marriage Really Sacred?

Is marriage sacred? The Catholic church believes so, calling it a “sacrament”. However, is God the author of marriage, or does He speak about it in a similar manner to Paul speaking about slavery? Is marriage ordained by God? I say “in the beginning it was not so”.

At any rate, as practiced by the normative church, marriage is often times opposite of what they say God intends. Yet to many, correcting this error seems like madness. Most clergy view speaking against “holy matrimony” as an attack on the very foundations of the Christian faith.

This is a hard truth

To be sure, this is a hard truth. The reality that we have sinned before God by marrying strange wives and husbands cuts deeply. To understand that our choice of spouse may not be God’s choice of mate, is more than most can accept. Add to that questions of “what about the children”, and you have a perfect storm of conviction, guilt and shame.

Before you read further, I do understand what you are going through. I sympathize with the agony that many feel about these very personal issues. For some, their marriages are Gordian Knots that have no easy solution. All I can say is trust God and allow Him to lead you step by step. Only YHWH, who sees the end from the beginning, can lead and guide you through these difficult times.

Have you married strange wives?

The truth is, hardly anyone marries as God intends. This is because most people are not Spirit led in their choice of mate nor their choice of religion. Oftentimes, they just do it because they grew up in a community with certain traditions. It is similar to how many chose to wed, it has more to do with proximity and your culture than God.

However, being Spirit led it is different. Regardless of your circumstance, God leads to you to the mate of His Choice. Furthermore, the form of marriage or the lack thereof, doesn’t really matter to God. What does matter to YHWH is whether or not you unite with a Divine Mate of His choosing.

In the Old Testament, the word strange means forbidden or foreign. In the New Testament, Paul refers to the false gods worshiped by the Atheneans as strange. Basically, when you unite with a “strange” wife (or husband) you do so with someone God does not approve of.

God says,

“Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.”

Ezra 9:1,2

According to the scriptures, Approximately 150 of Israel’s leaders, and perhaps many others who are not listed, wed the daughters of idolaters.

God also says,

“All these had taken strange wives: and some of them had wives by whom they had children. “

Ezra 10:44

While in the process of rebuilding the walls and temple of Jerusalem, men made the mistake of marrying outside of God’s will. The brides they took from the neighboring nations were not believers in YHWH, but believed in idolatry. As a consequence, God led them them all to divorce.

Divine Divorce is supported by scripture

The truth is, God both sanctioned and blessed this instance of mass divorce. In fact, the Bible devotes two full chapters to Divine Divorce. In order to rebuild Jerusalem, it was absolutely necessary that His people come back into alignment with His will. Unless they rectified these foolish vows, Jerusalem was doomed.

Likewise, and on a much bigger scale, many have married strange wives. Many women have also married strange husbands. Doing so no only is bad for their lives , but in also detrimental to the whole work of God.

It is difficult to be the bride of Christ while married to a strange spouse

In retrospect, did you make a foolish vow?

Though I do not know what percentage of marriages are out of the will of God, I suspect it is greater than the national divorce rate. People marry for all sorts of reasons, usually not many of which are from God.

Therefore, we have many in our churches that are hopelessly stuck in relationships that are actually contrary to God’s will. These instances of unholy matrimony hinder God’s work and prevent the maturation of His spotless bride.

Put away your strange wives

As hard as this saying is, in order to follow God, the men of Israel had to put away their strange wives, some of whom they had children with. In order for God’s will to be done, the element of idolatry needed to be purged. Likewise, if you have married a strange husband or wife, you will have to put them away too.

Those who teach that Christians should stay with their present spouse, no matter what the circumstances, are wrong. If God did not author your union, it doesn’t matter if you were married in Westminster Abbey, God doesn’t recognize your union. All you have, at most, is an earthly contract between two people sanctioned by your church and/or state.

Divine Divorce

In instances of unholy matrimony, God institutes Divine Divorce. Just as Christ cleansed the temple, when God comes back to His temple made without hands, it must be cleansed also. If you are married to someone who is not God’s choice, is it not obvious that God would address that issue?

The Tabernacle Experience is all about restoration of the first love of Eden. As such, all that is not of God cannot enter into that experience. If something so fundamental as your mate is contrary to God’s plan, they must go just like the strange wives of book of Ezra.

In conclusion

Foolish vows made against God’s will is the Elephant in the room no one wants to talk about. Holy matrimony is one of the most damaging doctrines the church presently teaches. Contrary to what many clergy say, earthly contracts do not equal Divine Mates. Moreover, Divine Mates exist independent of earthly contracts. Only God joins us through spiritual connections and without His blessings, we greatly err.

This Is Extraordinary

A child of the Most High

I have known about this story for some time, but now I think she is telling more of the truth of the matter. I suspect much more remains to her story. Most likely because she is pretty sure no one would believe her.

Akaine is an example of what God desired from the beginning in the Garden of Eden. From her mother’s womb, the child was destined to be one with God. Fought by the devil and persecuted for the place she was born to occupy in God’s kingdom, protected from on high. Yet for all the extraordinary giftings and experiences she has, Akaine is only a shadow of what the true children God will be.

The extraordinary world to come

The children of the new Heavens and earth all possess extraordinary gifts, for they are born of His Holy Spirit. Conceived by Spirit led, glorified Divine Mates, children like Akaine are the norm, not the exception.

What Akaine paints is revealed to her in heaven and then she tries her best to recreate it on earth. Like all prophets, she goes and actually sees, first hand, the persons and things her paintings depict.

Seeing the truth

We have no need that any man teach us. The only knowledge we need to live is direct revelation from our Father above. Moreover, all we have to do is to allow His Spirit to open our eyes to what’s already there  We don’t need any knowledge from the forbidden fruit, good or evil. Just listen, hear, and obey on time whatever God says every hour of every day. Jesus still lives every moment by the Spirit and he is the pattern we follow. The extraordinary thing about following the Spirit is that, in him, everything that God promises is ours for the asking!
